The first MD double bagel of the new season. :)

I think Peers only had one opportunity to win a game but it was quickly snatched away.

Kvitova only made 47% of first serves but was not once even threatened on serve.

It's the second double bagel of the season. ;)

Peers will never be a WTA player. She's a nice girl, but she just doesn't have the right build or strokes.

If you are counting Dominguez Lino-Rus then I am only taking MD matches into accounts. Double bagels happen in qualies quite often, that's not so significant. ;)

really it was a complete mismatch, theres like 400 ranking spots between them. this is where wildcards are just so wasted.

Poor Sally :o This result was never in doubt and I'm not too surprised at the score considering she has been out with an injury since November. Still, even if she was match tough she would've been thrashed.

I feel bad for her.

I agree, shes short and completely skinny! Would be a good gymnast though :)

Has anyone actually seen Peers play? I have, her ground strokes are just not good enough. No power at all. Poor girl :(

17 years old? It's good that she learned early that she will never be a proper professional. There's enough time for her to go back to school, get a degree, and pursue a career that will benefit her :)

17 years old? She's got time to mature.

I don't know why she even got a wild card. But still :o 0 games is pretty bad.

No surprises here. In the top 100 probably only Ana would have found a way to lose to her.

Maybe she did serve better than Petra, but then what does that say about her ground game

Poor Sally

It's meaningless though, to compare rankings between the 2 players when Sally hasn't played a full schedule yet.

Don't be so hard on Sally, she is only 17 and has been out since Nov with injuries. This is her first WTA md match, I'm sure she was nervous!
