If Maria w/d, she will wait until the draw is made then she will make an announcement.

Isn't this more than a little petty? It's like you'e hoping she's too injured to defend her title.

maybe an antagonistic thread for Sharpy fans, but considering she is still hasn't arrived, it's not a surprise people are doubting her participation.

Actually I think it's a legitimate question and topic considering what has been going on with her for the past 6 months. It's a pretty big deal when a defending champion can't defend their title at a Grand Slam.

Why show up eight days before the event? She has no reason to arrive so early...

She does if she hasn't played a match in almost 6 months.

I would be concerned if she wouldn't be there by the day the qualies has started but until that time I don't see what's so surprising that she's not arrived yet..I've never heard that she was one of the first to arrive for a GS...She can practice wherever she wants, why not doing it at home, cuz anyway there is no players arrived in Melbourne yet so she couldn't even practice with them.

Maria doesn't need any other players to be in Melbourne for her to train. If she hadn't arrived by Tuesday then I would be getting worried.

That's completely irrelevant to when she should arrive

Ivanovic is there

well I should have said Hardly one player has arrived yet :p..I'm pretty sure there is few aussie young players around too...but Ivanovic is in Australia since a couple of weeks, so it's normal for her to be in Melbourne too when she's not playing Sydney :p
