 back to ultra negative 2008 chak. i really have nothing more to say bar that attitude will get her nowhere in 2009!

The first half of the match was disgusting till they both find some rhythm and start playing some tennis. Gisela really played great at the end, a convincetly won over Chaky. How did she managed to get that score from Venus?.

Gisela is a big under achiever. She could easily be a top 20 player

Gisela almost choked the 2nd set away, wasted BPs and SPs...
but In the end Gisela pull it off, the audience are happy to see the match raised quality at last.

Anna needs to improve her serve, her serve is just :help: in 2nd and 3rd set.

Firstly, congrats to Gisela and to the Americas team, Dulko has always been a fine player and I think has underachieved as some other posters have noted. Shame for her, because with a higher tennis profile, her looks would have brought her a lot more endorsements! At any rate, great tournament for her, nice to see her doing well.

That said, I am really sad to see Anna losing yet another drawn out 3-set nervathon... pre 2008 she was so good at winning these tight matches when not playing her best, but since the horrors of the USO SF, her confidence in these matches always lets her down. I know a lot of people out there are very critical of Anna's game, but I think it's noteworthy that almost nobody thrashes her, even when she's way off form she still gets relatively tight scorelines out of her losses.

Ahh Anna... *hug*

Anna showed flashes of brilliance here & there. I think her 2009 season will be better than her 2008. Dulko was amazing in some rallies, so much talent there :)

Gisela is capable of doing this kind of thing much more often than she actually does it.
