Not a really good match. Although Meghann played really well until 4-2 in the second set, it's obvious her knee is giving her a lot of troubles and she seemed to be in pain sometimes (especially after that serve she almost missed and when she just ignored Casey's serve and turned around).

I'm not sure if she should play singles at the Australian Open. Maybe she should consider playing doubles until she totally recoveres from that knee injury (if she ever does) :( I mean she could've a shot with a really good draw in singles, but she's been making tons of UEs with her backhand. :sobbing:

Casey. :yeah:

Agree with Meghann needing to skip AO as her knee is still not 100%. Also, she stumbled in one of her service games toward the end.

good for casey to get a win... but she needs to really step up if she's to perform well at sydney or the AO again

The more I think about it, Meghann should go home and rest till Miami or the French Open. It's tragic is she hurts herself more and it's not like there's much for her to miss. She'll probably lose first round anyway so

Wow, surprising that Casey got a win! I think it's going to be hard for her to repeat in Melbourne. But... maybe she will surprise again.

Casey going to need a very good draw at AO if she keeps playing the way she does. Looking forward to seing how she goes in Sydney.
