There have been a couple of changes as the WTA have done away with their tier system and doubled their ranking points.
I've recalculated everyone's scores from 2008. Now only the best 16 results will count so there will be 6 mandatory tournaments (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Indian Wells and Miami) + 10 others.
This is how I converted the ranks. See the point distribution thread for the breakdown:
2008 Indian Wells & Miami --> Premier I
All other 2008 Tier I tournaments --> Premier II
All 2008 Tier II tournaments --> Premier III
All 2008 Tier III & Tier IV tournaments --> International
2008 Olympics --> Premier III hope some of that makes sense, just thought I should explain why some people's ranks are higher or lower than what they finished 2008 with!

Yeah it does seem stupid but I guess it's just the luck of when the tournaments are scheduled :p It's only the Australian Open next week so lots of big points available there.

I've given out more points for people finishing 51st-65th in International events this year. As there are more weeks with International events only and we have 70+ people playing each week I thought it would be fairer if there was more of a reward for your efforts. So from now on anyone finishing 51st-65th in these events will score 5 points!
I've recalculated ranks where necessary to make it completely fair.
I'll post the race standings tomorrow as it's late over here now :lol: :p
Fed cup is this week so these ranks are for the next fortnight!
Some notes:
JujulCactus is now just 61 points behind number one Meelis.
Marco-Nicole makes his debut into the top 10.

EDIT: Equipped actually scored 80 points from Rome instead of 30 points from Estoril, so should have 2386 instead of 2376 which gives a rank of 28. But because I've been a bit too efficient and already taken off the points for next weeks ranks on my sheet, it will show once Madrid has finished :p

Different look again, sorry. :lol: It's basically a copy of adner's lovely spreadsheet from where he managed earlier in the year. I thought it looked very professional and as I managed to get Office 2007 cheaply (no not illegally! :p) this week I thought I'd try it out on the rankings :angel:.

Because I forgot to type the 10 in the Wimbledon column :lol: and I think your points decreased because Wimbledon is a mandatory tournament and also your 17th best result is 40 points from Quebec so it's just the points adjusting themselves. They should be fine from now on though!

We used to count every tournament on the ranking with no 16 best results rule but it got changed to make it fairer for people who couldn't play every week.
That'll be great, we're always looking for managers :D I'll be putting some tournaments up in a couple of weeks after Bali has finished. You've done quite well already without playing any of the mandatory tournaments, so I think you've got a great chance already of making the YEC next year :).
