In Serbia for name Ana nickname is ANCI (Anči - Aнчи )

Yeah, Anci is just a nickname for Ana like Bob is to Robert

During an interview with the tennis channel many years ago, Ana discussed that name.

Nick name is the not the right word, since the name has nothing to do with Ana. Ana is as short as it gets. Ana said that she prefers Ana since it is shorter. Anuska is another name she receives and is warmer to the soul than Anci, especially if the person is a poster and no-one knows the person. Anci could used derogatorily. If the poster is a racist.
