tennis training aid

hi,
i am a year 13 engineering student and for my project i am designing and making a mat that will lie on the service area like a target. the mat will be connected to a display that will show the area on the mat the ball hits so you can see were in the service area your serve lands.
please could somebody leave some suggestions as to how i can make my product better and what and when you would like to use the product.

great idea, will it be foldable for easy storage? also how about solar power...and a array of random leds
