Absolutely not, she never did, and never will, she is injured every week, must be tough for her.
In 2006 after the Miami ankle injury, she came back and made the US Open QF, Stuttgart final and beat red-hot Vaidisova 6-2, 6-0 in Zurich before severely injuring her ankle again in the next round, ending the season.

In 2007, despite two serious ankle injuries, she ended 13th in the world, won two titles and made two finals (two tier II, one tier I) with several top-ten wins. Three of those came after the ankle injury and she made #12, with no points to defend, before her latest injury.

To say she, currently 20-years-old, will never make top ten, or whatever, is just ignorant bull. It's possible, but to completely dismiss her when she's proven time and time again what she's capable of, you would have to be living under a rock or just a casual, bandwagon-esque tennis fan.

Not to mention, if you followed her 2004 season, you would know a low ranking doesn't exactly keep her from playing very well. ;)

Tati's working with Loic, who's going to help her A LOT, and was apparently hitting the ball so well, before her back started hurting again, her team started thinking about winnng a medal at the OG.

I don't think she'll ever see the top10.

Freaking Vera Zvonareva, Ag I can't spell her name Radwanska and Marion "500lb gorilla" Bartoli all made the top ten. Golovin is more talented than those three, clearly. She and Nicole will be back.

It seems that her body cannot cope with the physical requirements on the tour. Otherwise, she wouldn't constantly be injured. So I don't think that she will back somewhere around the Top20.

I'm optimistic. She'll have a great comeback and returningto top 50 will be only a matter of time. I think she will at least win one title in 2009 (ITF, WTA, Fed Cup or a Grand Slam... :p)

Loïc makes currently a try with Tatiana. If he accepts to be her coach, it means that he believes in her and guess her to be competitive during 2009.
If he chooses an other player like PH Mathieu or Hantuchova, it will be a bad sign.
Don't forget that Tatiana has a viral problem. She can play well without pain. But from time to time, without any alert, her back hurts. And Loïc needs assurance.

So I'm waiting fot Loïc's decision.

Her body is already destroyed to such an extent that she won't be able to stay fit for more than several months in a row. I think she will retire in two years approx being disgusted and unmotivated. It's kinda sad cause she obviously has a potential.

I hope that Tati can come back to at least the level she was during last season, but it seems that she'll always be haunted by constant injuries so she'll always have an up and down career. But I hope she regains her health as soon as possible and comes back for a good season next year, I miss watching her play.

It's a virus which hurts her back ? :??:
Well since the clay season shes had an inflammed back, seperae from all the other injuries, which was apparently brought on by a virus. And shes been taking medication all year, but obviously its tough to get rid of and one second you feel 100% and the next you feel horrible. She said she was playing so well before it hit her at the OG and it seems that this virus is slowly leaving her. Shes begun practising with Loic, and from the news we have, it seems so far so good. Shes gonna train so hard all offseason in France, Miami and London and hopefully she'll be back at the very beginning of the year, kicking ass again.

We know what is her problem. And it's not a virus....

"une inflammation de la sacroiliaque qui a du mal à partir parce qu’il s’agit aussi d’une question de mauvais état général"

It's just that she was probably eating badly and not doing things a pro tennis player has to do. So it was hard for her to avoid injuries. So she probably changed the way she eats and has probably been taking vitamins and those kind of things for a while, and it's going better now.

It's probably just a chronic or temporary injury, there aren't many virus's that affect muscles for a very long time.

I heard that tati is very lazy on court, didn't want to train a lot, loves to drink and eat fast food, so I guess she kind of brought it to herself.

She needs to get better and come back strong at a steady and healthy pace.

Poor Tati, injuries are killing her and her carrer. This is just so sad, I hope she comes back to top 50.

Current ranking doesn't mean anything, she can make a good run at one or two mediocre tournaments and she is back on track. With her talent and game, she can beat most of WTA. :)

Anyway, as for her comeback, we will see...What she said in L'équipe is exactly :
"une inflammation de la sacroiliaque qui a du mal à partir parce qu’il s’agit aussi d’une question de mauvais état général. En fait, mon problème en bas du dos n'est qu'une conséquence d'un mauvais état général et du système immunitaire. Alors, je fais des analyses de sang.......etc".

She says that she has problem with her immune system (viral problem ?). She makes blood analysis every week (better and better).
