Does anyone here know where I can get some tennis videos?

Especially the Monica vs. Serena L.A. match!!

I don't have it but I have an idea. All of us have computers. Probably all of us have VCRs.
It is easy to get a TV capture card, and CD burner for PC is also quite cheap. Many of us have some matches on tapes. Tapes are spacy, dusty, and not really transportable. But with all above-mentioned devices those tapes can be easily converted into video CDs. If many of us would convert their tapes into CDs, we could get an excellent library of matches, that could be even downloadable for good connections.

These are all the tapes that I have. If anyone is interested in one, let me know and we can arrange something. (trade or sale)

Does anyone know what happens to all the matches from the early rounds at the tournaments? I think all the matches are taped by the tournament, but what happens to them then? They go to the WTA tour or does the tournament keep them??

I know the players are not that well known....but plz...!

ys...that is a very good idea. videotapes lose quality as the years go by, but a videoCD wont. It would be good way to help preserve the quality. Plus VCD's are easily mailable and would eliminate many shipping costs. please alert me if this plan is carried out.

2000 US Open V. Williams vs Hingis Semifinal (Germany commentary, highlights, more expensive because the Safin/Kiefer quarterfinal is also on this tape...)
2001 US Open Capriati vs V.Williams Semifinal (Japanese commentary, full match, also more expensive because the otehr semifinal Serena vs Hingis is also on this tape...)

If i want to create a video cd what format would i have to use. what format would you have to save it as in order to play it on a dvd player. is it in the avi format or some other one. I

my coach said he has tons and tons of mens matches (mostly clay courters a la ferrero, guga, blanco, moya, you know....) ....maybe i can recommend him to someone if interested

I intend starting experimenting with that next week, I never tried. Yes, of course it has to be one of AVI formats, the question is which.
VCD is MPEG1, I hope that I will be able to use SVCD, which is MPEG2. I am waiting for nre hardware - new PC ( my old one os too slow for this kind of exercises ), harddrive of bigger capacity ( 60GB one is being delivered ) and then I'll have to choose the TV Tuner/Video Capture device.
