I got an itouch last December and it had a couple of meltdowns a couple of weeks ago. It's been fine since then, thankfully! I don't know what I'd do without it!

Thanks for responding guys.Well I hope it doesn't happen to ye. I had no problems with it before until last night when it just suddenly froze as I was charging it. I managed to reset it but it once I tried adding songs it froze again and this time it was finished. The apple logo just kept coming up on screen followed by a clicking sound. Oh well, thankfully it is still under warranty so not all is lost.

I had the same problem with my iPod Mini and iPod 5th gen. for quite a while before they eventually died .

Now I listen to music via my walkman phone (Sony Ericsson W880i). And I must admit, the sound quality is much better and accessories are much cheaper :D.

I've been through 4 80gigs. My first 80gig is somewhere on the bottom of a harbor in Cairns, Australia. Another crashed after a night of unbridled clubbing in Tokyo's Shinjuku district. I had it replaced at the Itunes store in Shibuya. Now I'm down to the replaced 80gig and an Ipod 80gig classic I bought off Amazon.com. I keep the replacement packed away in a safe place, but the classic is utilized for car music and when I go running. So my best guess is that the classic is next to go

I had an iPod classic for about 1.5 years and it had a few problems. The last problem was that it just would not sync with iTunes at all, which caused me to buy a Nano, which I've had no problems with at all.

I've had one since the Ipod photo came out and no problems... I'm not sure how many years that is but I've also always had it in either a rubber sleeve protecting it or a hard case protecting it?

My i-pod nano is a source of constant annoyance. It freezes persistently and the menu button has taking a vacation from working. My friends never have problems with theirs though.

Wow. I was just thinking after reading this thread that I was fortunate to have nothing go wrong with my ipod (the 3rd one of mine).

And what do I do tonight? Well, apparently it was resting on apair of jeans of mine and when I threw it into the hamper, the ipod went with it and then again into the washing machine. :tape:

But it works. It didn't work at first but I blowdried it and let it rest and now it works all the same. But I am definitely Lucky by Britney. :p

Sorry for your trouble, yet again, I've never owned one. Call me a loom-breaker...

...what about a zune?

I see them at Wal*Mart also...

Wish I hadn't brought it up. Waaay over my head.
