Which has the best chance of winning a major title?

These are all players outside the top 5 that have been "slam contenders" for a year. Best result comes from Marion at 2007 Wimbledon, other notable ones include Anna C. a set away from the US Open final, Nicole 2 points away from the French Open final, and Daniela 6-0, 2-0 in the Australian Open semifinal.

God help the WTA if any of these win a slam. They need to improve (lots) before they do.

Obviously for the two 19 years old: Vaidisova and Radwanska a chance to win a major is still ahead. As far as Jill Craybas concerned: hopefully it is never too late to have a big breakthrough :p.

I wish Nicole had the mental breakthrough Dinara had.

What's her next tournament? Haven't seen her in a while!

She has to realize, hey I AM GOOD. There is no reason why she couldn't have had the results Safina has had this year.

I dont think any of these players will win a major. Maybe Nicole if she can get back on track and really work hard and get some luck but even then its a real stretch.

Agnieszka Radwanska

Nicole is the most talented from the bunch, followed by Hantuchova
If Nicole´s head is right, she´ll win one someday

If Nicole got her priorities sorted she would win one. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

We have whole bunch of youngsters here. There is plenty of opinions that none of them are going to win a slam. I wonder if any of you had $5,000 of disposable money that you could spend any way you want if you would bet that money on any of these women (with the exception of Jill) not winning a slam in next two years. To make myself clear let me give you couple of examples:
1. Would you bet $5K that Bartoli will not win a major in the next 2 years?
2. Would you bet $5K that Radwanska will not win a mjaor in the next 2 years?
3. etc.
In my opinion nobody has any information that would make such bet a smart one.

vaidisova will win a slam once she dumps FLAVOR FLAV

Radwanska probably will eventually.

In 2004/2005 everyone thought Vaidisova and Golovin would be major contenders for slams in the coming years but various factors have halted their progress.

Once Nicole overcomes her personal issues and finds her game again, I really can't see her not winning a slam, she's too good. She's only 19, too.

If Tatiana can ever find a way to stop her reoccuring injuries, she probably will at some point as well. She also is very young at 20.

Radwanska or Chakvetadze

Radwanska. The rest no way... MAYBE for Vaidisova, but I've realized she's been really overrated. She needs to improve alot game-wise and mentally before she has a chance.

If Nicole Vaidisova can regroup, I think her chances are high. As it is now though, Agnieszka Radwanska is playing very consistently and doing better each year. I think she'll at least make her first Grand Slam semi final in 2009 and win a slam in 2010.

agree with that.Radwanska is improving every year whereas vaidisova stopped.
I wont be surprised that in 2 or 3 years agnieszka win a slam. She will be ready then.

The reason I made this thread was because I honestly think that any of them can(except for Jill Craybas :p and Maria Kirilenko) and I was wondering what other people thought to. I do think Nicole has the most potential but as much as I hate to admit it, I think Marion Bartoli has probably the next best chance.

Voted for Aga, I can see her grabbing an AO witrh the right draw. She needs to work on her serve though.

Nicole on the other hand needs to get a coach to tell her what do to, preferably Codat if she wants to srart einnnign again
