I really hope it is nothing too serious with Romina and that she will be able to get back on the courts soon. That is such a fucking bummer. :bigcry:

I must also offer respect to Mana, for the classy opening post. :yeah: Never easy when a favourite has the biggest win of their career in less than ideal circumstances, but Mana's struck the balance perfectly and he/she is right to be proud of what was a great week from Ivanova.

Did Ivanova improved in last months or her opponents were simply pathetic ?

Fatigue? Strange decision to retire in the middle of a game for fatigue but Romina always was a bit different I suppose. I must say I don't really think that is the best way to go about things unless she wants to get an Alex Stevenson-type reputation, I certainly hope Romina doesn't make a habit of such retirements.

Still, it is good news. The main thing is that there shouldn't be any interuption in Romina's comeback. And as it is early in her comeback I will cut her some slack as far as the retirement goes. Hopefully Romina will use today as further insentive to work on her fitness too.

Okay. That's a little different.

I had a horrible image of her just going "gee I'm really tired I've had enough." So if I understand you right I get the sense you are talking about cramps? If that is what it was then the retirement would be understandable but also it would mean she shouldn't be out of the game at all. So hopefully that is what you meant. I do still hope that Romina does keep working on the fitness though so this sort of thing doesn't continue to thwart her.
