I think Sveta has peaked too. She's still a threat, but I don't think she'll get another slam.

Laugh at me all you want, Jelena hasn't peaked.

She's in a transition right now. She's learning to play aggressive against already aggressive players.

Man did you punk out on this list. You have 8 players and like 4 of them are older than 26/27. Then 2 are former number 1 and grandslam champions

On your yet to peak list.

I dont see Dinara getting much better than how she played this year. Svetlana, Jelena, and Vera arent going to improve anymore either. Svetlana has a great game but cant be hit or miss but she has a game that is pretty solid. She is fit, fast, powerful, and can volley. Jelena isnt going to start whacking the ball anytime soon and I dont really think she needs to. Right now I think she has the game to win th French or Australia. Vera peaked back when she was in the top 10.

Peaked:

Venus Williams

Does that mean you don't expect results better than she is producing i.e winnnng slams or what? Has serena peaked amd will only continue to win slams coz this does not make sense.

peaked;
Chakvetadze - i think she'll be ranked between 7-15 for the next few years, much like schnyder, but will never return to the top 5
Venus Williams - this is not a dig for all you venus fans. i do think she has another wimbledon title left in her, but i think she'll never get to number 1 again or win other slams (apart from wimbledon)
Kuznetsova - as much as it pains me to say, because i love her but im not deluded. i would not rule out another grand slam title, but im not expecting her to win another. i think she'll always be a threat, ranked between 3 - 10 for the next 5 years.

im not going to mention the obvious (davenport, mauresmo, schnyder etc) due to their age

not peaked;
Safina - im not a fan (to put it politely) and i never thought she would sustain this level of play all summer long. but she has proven me wrong and wouldnt be suprised to see her number 1 and winning slams soon.
Ivanovic - people are so quick to write her off its unreal!! shes got time on her side
Jankovic - not really a fan, but seeing her play against serena in the USO final impressed me. if she was to play like that consistantly, she could win a slam for sure. i dont think she will ever dominate the tour though.

I disagree with your logic.... Has Venus peaked? yes.... but i dont think that means she cant win another slam or even be #1..... Venus "peaked" back in 2001. Even if she went on to win 3 majors in 1 year I'd say her peak was still back in 2001.

Just like Serena "Peaked" in 2002....

And Ivanovic hasnt "peaked" cause clearly she shouldnt have won the FO and her game clearly has tons of room for improvement.

I would aregue that Jankovic has peaked its just a matter of time before she wins the big one.....

Dementieva peaked several years ago. Unfortunately for her, her peak was just average to say the least.
She's on the highway to hell :D

What doesn't make sense? :rolleyes:

I didn't say anything about Serena, I was talking about Venus. Obviously her best results were in 2000-2003, that is years ago and she hasn't made a big final off grass in several years. So you don't need to be a tennis expert to see that her best years are most likely already behind her and that she has already peaked :wavey:
