Interesting that Venus and Serena thought Serena played better in the QF than in the final. And according to Serena Venus didn't think Serena played that well in the final.

But whatevers Serena still won. I agree that she can play better than she did at the USO. I thought Venus was playing amaze at the USO though. hopefully she continues to play like that or better. Fingers crossed.

and did anyone read the black list book? Serena had a lot of interesting things to say. she's much more thoughtful than she comes across as in her after match press conferences.

No, I saw the show on HBO. It was really, really good. Serena was saying some really interesting things, again being totally open and honest. Loved it. Did you see the show manatee, and if so, is there more in the book than the show?

Thanks for this. This was a very good interview. Serena is a well-rounded person and speaks eloquently to the point, without going on tangents like some famous people often do or answering the questions in overly simplified fashion.
I knew she was going to bring up the focus factor as her weakness. She wasn't this way when she was younger. It's something she acquired in the last few years. Tai-chi or yoga could be helpful for her.

Focus has always been an issue for Serena, in my opinion. When she was younger, she lost matches after having huge leads. She played three-setters with Capriati many, many times.

Definitely a good interview. I live for the day I'll be able to interview Venus and/or Serena.

I'm glad she knows what she needs to improve. That many fans have been noticing.

Charlie has always done great in depth interviews. Great for Serena! She is far more open than Vee even though Venus is opening up much more than before.
