I guess this thread might be a little bit esoteric, but I'm hoping out of all the well-read members on this board there will be someone here who answers in the affirmative! :) Gonna keep bumpin it until there is!

Anyhow: last year I read my first Anne Tyler novel and I was captivated from the first chapter ; she writes so effortlessly. In the space of a year I've read 15 of her 17 novels and I'm currently reading the 16th, so only one left before I have to wait impatiently for her next novel, then start re-reading :) But in articles I've read about Anne Tyler a few of them have also mentioned the Canadian short-story writer Alice Munro and how they deal with similar themes. (For any of you who've never heard of Munro, she wrote the short story The Bear came over the Mountain, upon which the film Away from Her is based. ) But I haven't read any of her nooks and am not sure which of her short-story collections to start with.

Any Canadians maybe or bookworms out there who can give advice? :bigwave:
