View Full Version : What's the deal with the recent WTA "glam" injection?

I can't help but notice the WTA's recent marketing schemes. I think it's probably nice to have like a reception with all the players dress up from time to time, at Big Events, I mean Miami and YEC would be enough of those in a year. Now with the new campaign and all, the players have to pose for pictures and sip wine, wearing either local costumes or wearing the dresses, like some happy royal family nobody actually really cares about. I mean, we know they are women, I can tell when they're on court. That's what I like about beachvolley. I don't want to sound harsh or rude, but I think it doesn't help make the sport more competitive. It's more like a beauty peagent tour like this, like the BPA-tour tennis... c'mon Larry! :)
