Well isn't that pathetic, Agnes.

Congrats to Ayumi though. Nice to see her living up to some of her potential.

long and boring story.

Tell it! ;)

I only know that she had to change her service motion because she would end up retiring in a year because of damaged back. But this might not be the reason why she plays like crap all year (not except Paris GDF, she played like crap there as well, the others performed even worse :help: )

I wish she could play well again, it was exciting to watch her when she was up..

I thought last year that the hype on Szavay was kinda ridiculous but the girl has talent ans seeing her having such results is quite strange. She played ugly tennis all year (as someone said, even at Paris GDF, that final was horrible)and whatever the issues she's facing it'd be nice to see her do something QUICKLY.

.:sk:.

yeah Paris was crap, imagine her other matches. :tape:

so...overhype. Tv, newspaper, etc. every day last fall.
these things screwed winter physical trainings. she's "fat", no fitness, no endurance. cna't run, can't sprint, can't hit.
plus they changed the service motion. twice what i heard.
pressure from the media and the fans.
greedy and useless management fired up Agi's old coaches. (that guy from Paris too.) now "Kuharszky and co." looks like they're just bunch of idiots.
and maybe Agi sucks too. talent not everything. in her interviews she spoke some serious bullshit, like "i played good, this is a positive loss".

everything is fucked up.
just another hungarian mess.

I think Agnes is one of the most natural ball-strikers i've seen for some time, her backhand is a lesson in fluidity. Not now however:o

Well done Morita though, but beating Agnes nowadays is no Everest quest:lol:

I'm sorry to hear this. :( I really hope that Ági can come through this and find her form again. She is still young, and she certainly has the talent. I wish her the best for the rest of the year, and the rest of her career (aah I found some rhyming skills there... ;) ). Good luck, Ági.

Congratulations to Morita on this win - great for her to get the win in front of her home crowd. :)

She definitely has the talent to turn her results around though and I still expect big things from her next year:)!

I guess that explains it. :spit:

Seriously, though, I've been wondering what the back-story is with Agi. I knew about the service motion change, and that was the beginning of the downward spiral. Didn't know about all the coaching changes though.

The scary thing is that 2008 could have been worse (I'm thinking of Safarova). Agi did at least get to the Paris final and 4th round of Wimbledon.

But it sounds like the situation is dire. So many underperformers in the WTA. But I thought Agi had special talent. Gone are the days when Navratilova thought she was the next big thing.
