Does anyone know what Davenport will do next-keep playing or retire? She's not entered in the remaining tournaments this year...

She seemed pretty down on herself in her interview after losing to Bartoli at the USO too...

We will also know within the next couple days if she will be playing Quebec again this year. I think if she plauys Quebec then there is a very good chance that she will make the trip over the Australia and *hopefully* play another limited 2009 schedule :D:bounce:. I think all of this depends on her health :).

i get a feeling she will play quebec and that will be her indoor season, luxembourg and quebec. i cant imagine her not playing next year, if she was going to retire the us open would be a better final tournament to play than luxembourg.

oh thanks! :o I missed that event when I was checking :o Since she didn't enter Bali or Beijing I was getting nervous.

Yes, i 100% agree with you. I think the only thing that could prevent Linds from playing in 2009 is if she re-injures her knee . Lets hope that doesn't happen! ;):bounce:

for me, keep playing if you are contending for big titles but retire if your not preparing well enough.

We've been throwing around a theory on the TOP board which might have some validity to it. Lindsay plays on for now and tries for a second baby and once she falls pregnant retires for good. or she retires at Indian wells where she had good results and good memories outside of her tennis either way I would be happy. :)
