I got to agree with Y.J.CHANfan, Dominguez-Lino isn't a bad player, at least on clay, and when she is playing at her best, on her favourite surface, she can be very tough to beat. I would guess probably 90% on this board that had any interest in this match wanted Sorana to win it, myself most definately included. And I share the disappoint others feel, it would have been nice for Sorana to win in Athens, but I really don't feel this was such a bad loss and Sorana's continued rise up to the rankings isn't going to be significantly affected by it. It is just 20 useful ranking points down the drain, nothing less, nothing more. Sorana is still doing just fine.

i watched a bit of this match. sorana hit sooooooooo many ue's and also whenever she got back in the match (after being broken) she just fucked it up some more... i've seen her play so much better than this. well i dont know. it was weird and she didnt look that motivated/ but rather frustratedand no it wasnt due to the spaniards good play imo.

Yes I was expecting Sorana to win.

I know LDL isn't as bad a player as others have said, however I would still consider this a bad loss.

I had watched Sorana a few times, when is on she looks just so fearless and is able to produce some beautiful winners. But yes everyone would also have to agree that, there are too many players on this tour who can strike the balls amazingly, and probably can beat a top 50 or even a top 30 quite easily "at their best",yet no one can be at best everytime, you still need to maintain a certain level to actually score effectively even when you don't feel right, which is what separates the tops.I guess Sorana is still lacking that ability, and it shows in this tournament,or else I'd say she would have stayed at least in the top 40 by now with her game and LDL wouldn't be a threat for her even on clay, let alone a loss .
