" Yes. Finally I won a match."
Q: What was the KEY for today’s match?
" Everything I have worked for all these years came together in this match. Finally I understand the rules of this game."
Q: Do you think that there are some points to improve for your next match or tournament?
" Of course, now that I get the point of tennis, I have to improve a lot of things. Like learn how to keep the score and how many balls are used per point."
Q: What is your favourite tournament?
" I don't know, any tournament that you can buy your way into."
Q: What has been the biggest win of your career?
" There isn't much to choose from, but I will say my victory at Stanford when I beat my rival Diamond Jackson in a high quality match."
Q: Who is the toughest player on Tour now?
" I don't know, I have never met them."
Q: Any players on Tour you do not like to play?
" I appreciate every match. I am grateful whenever I get the chance to play against anyone in the top 1000."
Q: Who is your best friend on Tour and why?
" My best friend on tour is my mom."
Q: How important is sponsors on Tour? What about WTA Tour sponsor Sonny Ericsson?
" Sponsors? What are you talking about? My parents pay for everything."
Q: What has been the key to your success this year?
" Like I said, I finally understand where the ball needs to go. Now I can build on that."
Q: How did you first get involved in tennis?
" My parents told me to play tennis when I was 5 years old."
Q: Where were you born and raised?
" In America."
Q: Who were your tennis heroes when you were growing up?
" I don't know, I have never watched tennis on TV."
Q: What are the good and bad points of being a professional tennis player?
" I love to travel around the world to play this game. There is no downside. It is the best job ever!"
Q: What's your favorite Tour stop and why?
" I think Dubai. It was nice of them to give me a wildcard and believe in my abilities. The city is great."
Q: What's the strangest thing that's happened to you on the Tour?
" When I played this girl and the match just kept going and going. I kept asking my mom, am I done yet? But we kept playing. Apparently I won this match in three parts. Or sets, whatever it's called."
Q: If you could play any tennis player, past or present, who would it be?
" I don't know. Anyone is fine!"
Q: What’s your relationship with the other girls from your country on Tour?
" My mom e-mailed them to ask for some tips but they didn't reply. So they are rude!"
Q: What are your goals for the future?
" I want to win a ranking point again. I like to be in this list they make."
Q: What’s your plan for the rest of the year?
" Play any tournament that is willing to have me."
Q: Your fans want to see you play more on Major Tournaments of WTA Tour like Tier I or Tier II events. What you and your coach think about that?
" I would love to go back to WTA tournaments. I've played in Dubai, Cincinatti, Stanford, among others. I'm sure I will be back there soon."
