Q: So, miss Whitehead you won your last match, tell me about your feeling about that.

" Yes. Finally I won a match."

Q: What was the KEY for today’s match?

" Everything I have worked for all these years came together in this match. Finally I understand the rules of this game."

Q: Do you think that there are some points to improve for your next match or tournament?

" Of course, now that I get the point of tennis, I have to improve a lot of things. Like learn how to keep the score and how many balls are used per point."

Q: What is your favourite tournament?

" I don't know, any tournament that you can buy your way into."

Q: What has been the biggest win of your career?

" There isn't much to choose from, but I will say my victory at Stanford when I beat my rival Diamond Jackson in a high quality match."

Q: Who is the toughest player on Tour now?

" I don't know, I have never met them."

Q: Any players on Tour you do not like to play?

" I appreciate every match. I am grateful whenever I get the chance to play against anyone in the top 1000."

Q: Who is your best friend on Tour and why?

" My best friend on tour is my mom."

Q: How important is sponsors on Tour? What about WTA Tour sponsor Sonny Ericsson?

" Sponsors? What are you talking about? My parents pay for everything."

Q: What has been the key to your success this year?

" Like I said, I finally understand where the ball needs to go. Now I can build on that."

Q: How did you first get involved in tennis?

" My parents told me to play tennis when I was 5 years old."

Q: Where were you born and raised?

" In America."

Q: Who were your tennis heroes when you were growing up?

" I don't know, I have never watched tennis on TV."

Q: What are the good and bad points of being a professional tennis player?

" I love to travel around the world to play this game. There is no downside. It is the best job ever!"

Q: What's your favorite Tour stop and why?

" I think Dubai. It was nice of them to give me a wildcard and believe in my abilities. The city is great."

Q: What's the strangest thing that's happened to you on the Tour?

" When I played this girl and the match just kept going and going. I kept asking my mom, am I done yet? But we kept playing. Apparently I won this match in three parts. Or sets, whatever it's called."

Q: If you could play any tennis player, past or present, who would it be?

" I don't know. Anyone is fine!"

Q: What’s your relationship with the other girls from your country on Tour?

" My mom e-mailed them to ask for some tips but they didn't reply. So they are rude!"

Q: What are your goals for the future?

" I want to win a ranking point again. I like to be in this list they make."

Q: What’s your plan for the rest of the year?

" Play any tournament that is willing to have me."

Q: Your fans want to see you play more on Major Tournaments of WTA Tour like Tier I or Tier II events. What you and your coach think about that?

" I would love to go back to WTA tournaments. I've played in Dubai, Cincinatti, Stanford, among others. I'm sure I will be back there soon."

There are 4 Top 50 players representing United States on WTA Tour. Tell me your opinion about them:
Venus and Serena Williams:
" Which one is Venus and which one Serena?

Lindsay Davenport:
" I think it's kind of weird she had a baby and is still playing. At some point you need to move on!

Bethanie Mattek:
" Who?"

Q: Thank you Brie for your time.

" My pleasure!"

Adrian.
