But only one!!!

No more no less Just one

I have been thinking of this for ages and choosing one song feels like choosing what leg to lose.

After careful considerations i choose one:hearts::hearts:

I love this song with all my heart

Lauryn Hill: Can't take my eyes off you

was very close between this, Aretha's 'Say A Little Prayer' and Coolio's 'C U When U Get There'

but in the end this one just HAS to be the best, a true classic!

I live for music. As much as I adore tennis, music is my 1st love. There are thousands of songs that mean so much to me. Naming just a few is so hard. But here goes...

The Kinks - Oklahoma USA
The Modern Lovers - Roadrunner
The Mekons - Where Were You
Os Mutantes - Trem Fantasma
Anna Karina - Roller Girl
Julie Doiron - Tell You Again
Kevin Ayers - Lady Rachel
Kleenex - Dolly Dollar
Grab Grab the Haddock - For All We Know
The Stooges - Fun House
Half Japanese - Tell Me I'm Wrong
Life Without Buildings - Is Is and the IRS
The Olivia Tremor Control - The Opera House
The Moldy Peaches - Jorge Regula
The Fugs - Nothing
Jeffrey Lewis - Roll Bus Roll
Syd Barrett - Late Night
Beck - Timebomb

These songs all sum up various attitudes, feelings and passions that make me love music. Ok, if I have to pick one its "Olkahoma USA". For me the most beautiful song I have ever heard.

 I'm sorry :awww:. It's REALLY difficult though, cos my fav. songs vary with mood, time of day even, plus I'm naturally indecisive.

I've changed my mind again. Today, right now, my favourite song is GLOOMY SUNDAY!
It's also sometimes referred to as the 'Hungarian Suicide song'. Ignore all the superstition around the song - apparently anyone who listens to it commits suicide  , but of course, I don't recommend listening to it if you're depressed and suicidal already.

Its quite a famous song, it's been done by Billie Holiday, Bjork, Elvis Costello (just heard his version the other day, he has a really sexy voice), Sarah McLachlan (sp), etc etc. My fav. version tho I think today, now I mean is the version by Diamanda Galas! Really theatrical.

Um, but yeah Fleetwood are just great. I have trouble finding other people that like them too, people don't know what they're missing. Fleetwood are probably song writing at it's best, telling stories but sometimes in a cryptic way - especially songs by Stevie nicks! It takes a while to make sense of her lyrics, but at the same time their open to person interpretation - in a a way. And Lindsey... one of the best guitarists EVER!!!

I wouldn't normally say this to a Sharapova fan - right there your judgement and sanity come into question gmak  - but I love you! I haven't actually come across another fleetwood fan in... years! Other than Dreams do you have other fav tracks? Oh my goodness I feel nostalgic - I'm actually tingling just thinking about this! *breathes*

Of the top of my head - Silver springs, Rhiannon, Sara :worship: Tell me you love them gmak, I need to hear you say it! :scared:

*breathes* I'm actually losing it!
