That was closer than it has been in 5.5 years :eek:
3rd Paralympic title in a row, 349th win in a row, just amazing:worship:
Homan:hug: Must be tough, to lose the biggest match in 4 years like that, come so close to beating Vergeer (she led 5-3 and 6-5 in the final set) and end up losing in a tiebreak:hug:

Well done Esther and Korie! Too bad the match wasn't shown on the livestream. Must have been a real fight for Esther. I hope she continues till London, but Korie may beat her by then.

Just saw the summary. Korie had a MP at 5-3 too:awww:
Esther was só tired at the end, she could hardly serve anymore

Jeepers that's the closest she's come to losing! Must have been the pressure to win for her country. I hope she doesn't retire anytime in the foreseeable future. :worship:
