One very possible scenario:

1st Round: Ivanovic SRB def. Bye RUS
2nd Round: Ivanovic SRB def. Petrova RUS
QF Round: Ivanovic SRB def. Kirilenko RUS
SF Round: Ivanovic SRB def. Safina RUS
FINAL: Ivanovic SRB def. Dementieva RUS

Ana have chance to become first ever tier-I winner which reach title beating only opponents from same country (Russia in this case)

Do you realy think that Jankovic is capable to beat two top 10 players in a row? When is the last time that happend?

Back to back? 2006 US Open. Same tournament? 2007 Sydney.

Beating Kuznetsova and Dementieva back to back wouldn't be particularly difficult for Jankovic, though.

Safina's section is far too weak in comparison to the others. She can cruise to the semis while there are at least 2-3 major roadblocks for the other three top seeds.

I see Dementieva or Safina winning. Very packed draw though! I love these fall Tier 1 draws, so interesting.
