Srebotnik breaks for 3-5 1st set but can she actually hold? She's won 7/15 points on her 1st serves and 1/12 points on her 2nd serve. She has 2 aces and 3 double faults and has saved 3 out of 7 bps faced.

Kimiko has been training really hard since last year.
She may not be top 20, but when she moves well, she could beat many players. She has weapons to damage.

she hated media, she hated traveling around that time.
she said she was very uptight always, so i remember kimiko gave ai some advice to enjoy the tour as life, not as a job.

Don't they get a 10 minute break between set 2 and set 3? If not, I wouldn't be surprised if Tammy called a trainer to get something wrapped. but at least she held her serve to start the 3rd set... whew!

I don't think they normally do unless the heat rule were in effect.

they do get a longer break than usual at the start of the 3rd, but i don't know how long. most players change their shirts or take a bathroom break.

Out of curiosity, I looked up the ITF's Rules of Tennis for 2008...

Event organisers may allow a rest period of a maximum of ten (10) minutes if
this is announced in advance of the event. This rest period can be taken after
the 3rd set in a best of 5 sets match, or after the 2nd set in a best of 3 sets
match.
