i was a big fan of hers back in the day when i still thought she had at least a couple of slams in her. but, after having so many injuries take their toll, it's kind of sad to see her go through the grind. what's worse is, it doesn't look like she'll have the kind of late-career resurgence that elena has just had.

so, i have to wonder what she's still doing here. is she just going through the motions or does she really believe she still has a great win inside her?

wow. truly intelligent and thoughtful responses. well done.

does anyone else have any idea what nadia's goal is these days? is she looking to return to her former level or is this the start of a retirement trail?

Even when Nadia is at her prime, I don't think she's capable of winning a couple of slams.
Her groundstrokes are awkward yet effective when she is in position, but her movement is dubious.
And nowadays, a great serve can only get you so far.
The most important thing is she is a nutcase, this pretty much rules out anything big.

well, It's only natural to get down in shape as you get older, Nadia is still very close to the top 20 and makes a very good earnings, so even if she can't improve her result, there is no reason to retire.
