American song-writer and producer Antonio "L.A." Reid conceived the collaboration after a meeting with the founder of Stand Up to Cancer, which will benefit from the proceeds of the record. Reid co-produced the track with American singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and the single was released on August 29, 2008.

Yeah, it definitely is a great cause. I am glad so many are ready to quench their ego for a great cause.

Miley Cryus, then Rihanna, then Fergie, then Natasha Bedingfield. :help::help::help::help::help::help::help:

Definition of a trainwreck.

Mariah with her raspy shit sounds like Pavarotti next to them.

Mariah :yeah:

Yes that's nice.
Here's the thing though.
We may not believe it but things have to sound good even if it's for a good cause.

If I buy a rubber band for a cause and it gives me a rash should I keep the rubber band on? NO.

If I'm buying cookies for a good cause and they taste like shit should I just not say something because it's for a good cause?
No.
I don't want someone else to have to deal with what I just did.
The least I can do is tell someone else who brought the cookies to not eat them because they taste like shit.

why bash it, if you dont like it dont buy it, it realy is that simple. for those that do like it and buy it it will raise money for charity, i see that as a win win situation.

I'm just glad Leona stood her ground, and liked Mary J's bit. I can't believe they have Nicole, Miley and Rihanna up there though... like roses with a few weeds thrown in there.

It reminded me of all the various artists tracks that were common in the 90s but seem rare these days.

I loved this track, tough I thought T-boz killed it.

Who cares if Miley or Fergie aren't the best singers. This song is not about getting the best singers in the world to sing together, it is about getting empowering, inspiring women to sing, raise awareness and help garner funds for Cancer research. Miley might not be as good of a singer as Beyonce or whoever, but she has millions of little tweenie fans who are no doubt going to put their money to a good cause buying this single because Miley is in it, who otherwise wouldn't.

Some of you people are so selfish  Do you even use your brains?

This is coming from someone who has hardly heard a Miley song in their life, I think I know 1 and only cause I've seen the video on tv.

Some of you people are so selfish  Do you even use your brains?

Do you use your ears?

Should we then refrain from giving our opinion that they sounded crap? (song is crap too)

lol have you thought about the vast number of people who are not going to buy the song simply because of the rubbish they're going to hear if they do...Miley sounds completely out of place, and it ruins the song, and i'd say more people are going to be put off by that than attracted because of Miley's presence...alot of people will not buy a song if the singing in it is dreadful

so why don't you try using your brains?? troll

OMG Miley that bitch was so annoying and totally ruined the song:tape:
Mariah her voice will never be the same, she's struggling and cracking :tape:

Oh yes, I'm a troll because I care more about raising funds for cancer research than I do about who sings what, when and how good they sound

& I seriously doubt Miley would detract more people than she would bring to the single (you do realize she has hoards and hoards of annoying little fans who will buy anything she touches, don't you?). Meanwhile, if people who originally intended to buy it, don't because of Miley, then it says a lot about their maturity level considering what all their favorite singers are trying to accomplish with this record.
