BONITA BEACH, Fla. -- A Florida man is suing after he was ticketed on a beach for wearing a Speedo bathing suit.
Bob Hezzelwood said he has been visiting Bonita Beach for years and no one has bothered or complained about his bathing suit.
However, recently, a Lee County sheriff's deputy gave Hezzelwood a ticket for trespass and told him not to return to the beach.

A judge tossed out the case.

However, Hezzelwood said he plans to sue the sheriff's department, saying his civil rights were violated.

"It frightens me and embarrasses me to go public with it. But by the same token, I don't know what else to do," Hezzelwood told The Naples News. "I'm a civilian out here who’s been picked on by a little bully deputy and that’s wrong. It’s just wrong."

Not a pretty sight but you can't tell someone what to wear.

It really is ashame. Honestly the guy doesn't have a bad body for his age.

I hope when I get up to that age, I have a body like that, without the hair of course.

Unless, he looks like the Olympic male swimmers or water polo guys, he should get a ticket for
wearing that thing! Unless, you look like Dara Torres, don't wear a suit that you shouldn't -
in public anyway.

Yes, offensive beachwear should be a felony!

As should wearing a baseball cap while eating at a restaurant.
I hate that, take it off.

Just kidding.....the cop must have been having a bad day or something.
He couldn't take anymore Euro suits that day.

But, what a waste of court time.

Normally I'm with you all the way Sal but, though I'm all for banning unattractive people from my line of sight, the beach is full of them that aren't in speedos. We can't ban them all .

Actually, let's .

Though I didn't realise that hairy chests are out (again) but I'll live.

The concept of waxing is just too frightening.

The story didn't say why he was wearing a Speedo in public in the first place. Did he lose a bet or something?
