OMG so a preview clip of the entire season and it looks to be a fun ride. I am so excited for this season after watching it.

I think i am falling in love with this new Eric. :hearts:

... just wish the storylines would be more connected; this isn't a daytime soap, I don't want to care or follow 12 stories - I want one main plot (witches, which is good so far) and the main characters to be more involved in that than their tiny shit (like Season 2, which I didn't mind).

Glad that Tommy's scumbag parents finally got what they deserved.

Pam's face

I wholeheartedly disagree. Imagine one big storyline and it's a bust- then what? The multiple storyline format really works for this show. I do admit some of the stories lack at times, but I'm glad I'm never stuck in one long one...

This show is starting to get a little ridiculous with all the creatures and supernatural beings. Almost every single person in that town has some supernatural power now. Jason's storyline with the trailer trash panthers is just silly. And are they shifters who only transform into panthers or are they something entirely different? Speaking of shifters, now it's not only Sam who is one, but apparently, virtually the entire world can shift. In fact, there are so many of them out there, that Sam's formed a little shifters book club and even found a nice shifter girl to date.

I haven't read the books, so perhaps the show is just following them, but I think it would be better if they focused more on the vampire/human interactions and dynamic rather than every single person having some special ability.

It was much more appealing when it was just vamps & humans. Too many things going on in that town!

Jul 28th, 2011, 04:57 AM
I think the point of a lot of people having some sort of secret power is an allegory or something. Like, everybody in a small town has their secrets. But there are more people in the town who don't have powers; we just don't get to see them because that wouldn't be very interesting, would it?

1) I'm requesting true death on Bill
2) Arlene's kid scares the shit out of me :scared:
3) Tommy shifting into Sam? That's totally twisted
4) It was expected that the witch would get possessed but Lafayette?

Generally a so-so episode.

Jason's storylines are totally boring as is Sam's.

I kinda agree the show is becoming saturated with supernaturals.

The werewolves are the vampire's deadliest enemy so their exposure is needed, having witches is fine, too  but the panthers and shapeshifters are over the top :o I never liked Sam and his story, either way.

Anyway, onto the episode I wanted some more zoom during the sex scenes everybody was waiting for :sobbing: Overall, another low-paced episode, I really hope that these few episode are just a built-up to some great, intense, breathtaking ones to come :cheer:

This season is taking whacko to a whole new level. As an avid fan of the novels I can't help but feel a smidge disappointed.
I must admit that Marney out of all characters is really growing on me!

I just don't really care about what happens though and I think that's the problem. It just seem so slow and dreary.

I guess yeah; how many episodes left this season? I thought it picked up this one, but I want it to get even more intense the next few. Only story lines I don't care about are Sam/Tommy/Luna, and Andy. Oh, and Lafayette/Mexican wizards.

Like the Jess/Jason angle, hopefully he saves her from the Sun.

I think she was able to break free because Bill didn't put the extra silver on her because she was in so much pain. She's still a young vampire so Bill probably thought it was enough to keep her down.

Aug 11th, 2011, 01:55 AM
I know... its like the witches are supposed to be the "bad" guys this season or whatever but you can't hate them at all. They are just doing it to get back at all the hate and indignity the vampires have caused them in the past. So its almost as if you want the witches to come out on top. You don't feel sorry for the vampires. Well atleast I know I don't.

"Get your ass out here you prune-faced bitch!" :haha:

More of Tara, please.

Anyway, if the witches are seriously supposed to be taken as villains, Ball and crew are doing a terrible job of it. It's going to take lots more than Baby Eric and Katie's death to counter 3+ seasons of straight brutality and viciousness from vampires.

On another note, is that really Sookie standing toe-to-toe with Eric, Pam, and Bill against Tara and company? Is this bitch for real? I hope this means everyone from Sookie's small circle of friends and family will finally see the lyin' two-faced backstabbin' bitch she truly is and stop placing her on a pedestal.

Did anyone else get annoyed at last nights episode when Sookie said she wants to help protect those she loved from someone fighting in the name of Hate? or whatever she said when talking to Bill?

Like excuse me bitch but what do you think your precious Vampires have been doing the last hundreds of years but killing in the name of hate and doing shit to abuse others? I mean just cause you spread your legs for fucking dead people like relax with your stupidity and hypocrisy. The fact that vampires have been doing that shit, they kinda deserve to be killed.

And is anyone else completely over and bored with the whole Eric/Sookie shit? Like... it was cute for like 1 episode and now its just boring, same shit different day. I want Eric to get his memory back and then we'll see what happens, because this lovey dovey shit is dull. Maybe its just Sookie, she is just so unlikable in all senses.

I was happy she was shot honestly, and I'm sad she won't just pass away off my screen, and I'm kinda getting tired of her "powers" being able to fucking overcome and basically hurt EVERYONE, like its a fairy, are we for real?

WHATEVER, I wish Marnie would just fuck em all up.

What I don't like is the promo that's doing the rounds. We're at EP9 (or 8 for a few), and we know there's a few more EPs to go. Do the promo-makers seriously think Marnie will die so early?

Weird Episode. :o The last 10 minutes were sweet, its about time people start to throw down and get shit going. Up until then though....too much Eric/Sookie fairy sex, just thought it slowed the episode down. Jessica/Hoyt  I think the dream breakup was hilarious, I definitely burst out laughing at Hoyt sobbing. Poor Jess getting thrown out of Jason's too.

Bill is pretty cool this season, actually. And who cares who started the "hate" stuff? Vampires hurt innocent people, and now Antonia wants to hurt every vampire in sight (many of whom are living nice, normal lives - Bula Carter etc). No one is "right" here.

Alcide  Coolest character in the series I think, and the only one who really cares about Sookie (then again, she is a step up from a drug addicted she-wolf).

Way too slow, these recent episodes. They've slowed things down a bit too much since last season. They need to know they don't have the quality of character writing to sustain The Wire-like pace.

I can't believe there are only three episodes left. I have no clue how the vamps are going to be able to beat Antonia. She's a very tough enemy. I guess Sookie will have to be the one to do it since vampires are so susceptible to her magic.

I'm glad that Eric finally got his memory back and he's back to being a bad ass, it was sooo needed. Btw I read on the Internet that in the books Eric didn't remember what happened when he had been under the spell and Sookie didn't want to tell him. Now if someone who read the books (there was a poster earlier in this thread) could clarify it would be cool ;)
I'm surprised Nan didn't die and instead she killed the hottest sheriff, she could have killed the woman or that big dude

Tara ain't dead; the wound could be a serious graze. Sookie's cries will send Eric and Bill runnin' and one of 'em will feed Tara some healing blood. Tara will be all over her feeder and Sookie will be free to love the other.

LOL @ Debbie begging Sookie not to kill her when she was just about to kill her two seconds earlier :haha:

Tara isn't dead. Sookie just gave her blood to both Eric and Bill so they will be showing up at her door any minute and they can save Tara. If Tara is truly gone then maybe it wouldn't be too late to turn her? That would make for one hell of a story line. Of all people to be turned, the one who hates vampires more than anything. I like it.

Russell is back?? Hell yes! Bring it!

What was up with Andy having sex with a fairy? I know that wasn't thrown in as time filler. It will come back around next season I am sure. Maybe he impregnates the fairy?

All these deaths. They really cracked me up to be honest. Bill and Eric killing Nan  And Sookie getting rid of Debbie once and for all, more than I could possibly ask for

Just saw it. SICK Finale. Happy with people dying, but I really liked Nan. :o Too bad she had to go, but hopefully they introduce some new badass Authority people.

Jesus :wavey: Tara :spit: Kind of expected it when they talked about them chilling on a porch as geezers. Would be sweet if she comes back as a Vampire, or falls in love with Bill.

Pam  Sweet zingers, wonder what her story will be next season?

Who else thinks Terry was gay with that Marine dude? Should be interesting.

Umm, Reverend Vampire? Nice. Russell back? Also sweet.

Debbie :D Good job, Sook.

i'm currently watching season 3 - almost finished - and thought it was entertaining, but definitely not as good as season 1+2. too many different storylines, a lot of them simply fizzling out, and just too many supernatural creatures. if everyone is one, it just gets boring.

now i read these last few pages - accepting spoilers - and i'm really not sure what to make of it: so did you people think season 4 was better than season 3?

I never liked season 2 and thought season 3 was better than season 4.

I must be the only one who was sad when Tommy died- I was really moved, but I guess I'm a bit of a sap. So glad Lafayette didn't die and started to like his relationship with Jesus, shame Jesus died- that dude always dies in shows.

I always wanted Eric and Sookie together but dayum I didnt want Eric to be such a drone. So glad Eric is back to being normal, just shame him and sookie can't be together. For a sec I was impressed Jason was being loyal to his best friend but of course he couldn't keep it up...

As for the last episode, I thought it was a lil slow and then in the last 5 mins so many people died. I thought it was a disappointing finale.
Alcide is great eye candy (but really bad acting) but does every guy have to fall for Sookie... How did Pam put it again? Fairy vagina lol I can't remember.. Anyhoo, can't wait for Dexter to start.

In other words. One was fucking awesome. 2 was pretty sweet in parts. 3 was atrocious. 4 was slightly better but still sucked. :D I only watch for Eric and Pam really now. - Terry's Fire monster
- Lafayette turning into an evil voodoo master
- shifters being wiped out
- Tara's pathetic ass
- fairies having a safe brothel
- the dead parents bit

I mean, I am all for not focusing on just 2 character and having another plotline or two but they are clearly losing it. On top of that, they had to fucking prevent me from seeing Joe naked by Sookie puking over him. :hysteric:
