Oh shit. :spit::haha::rolls:

Blanche: Well it's your own damn fault Dorothy, why did you vote for yourself?
Dorothy: I just assumed everyone was going to vote for Rose and I didn't want a sweep to hurt her feelings...
Blanche: Oh, I guess that would hurt...
Dorothy: IT DOES!!

:rolls::worship: Loved these girls. I miss Estelle so much. :sobbing: But I'll remember the good times. :)

"The Flu" episode was one of the related videos so i got lost watching that... That's probably one of my favorite episodes.

That part at the end where Rose is sneezing at the banquet is priceless. Her date says "Doesn't she just have the cutest sneeze?" And then Dorothy starts sneezing very loudly all over the food. :haha:

Personally, I didn't like the Golden palace too much.

Time for an EPIC BUMP..

Just a few weeks ago I finally finished watching all episodes of The Golden Palace on youtube. I thought I was the only one who ever did that. haha. The show was Ok, but im not surprised it only lasted one season. But still I always watch the Golden Girls on youtube. I love it.

My favorite episodes are "Bedtime Story," "The Auction," The episode where Sophia's brother visits and Dorothy and Stan have to pretend to be married while Rose and Blanche are dressed as nuns. There are so many more.

The condom skit is funny.

Omg, why do gay men love golden girls so much?

Another one of my favorite lines was in season 7 when some inspector came to the house.

"Uh yeah I just got a call from Lois Nylund."

Rose cuts in..

"Oh no. That's Rose Nylund...Rose...As in a series of seats in a movie theatre." (Meaning Rows)

Inspector cuts in... "Or.. The flower."

Rose gets all wide eyed. "Oh yeah that too."

Edinnote: I guess it wouldve been easier to have actually posted the video.

 It feels that way because it is TRUE! Hallmark shows SO many episodes that they do overlap. Also, WE runs their cycle so close to the Hallmark cycle that if you see an episode on Hallmark, chances are when you watch WE in a couple of days, you will see the same episode!

As of now, the schedule for GGs is:

9am-12pm Hallmark
5pm-7pm WE
11pm-2am Hallmark

Plus, Monday night marathons on WE.

Probably because between WE and Hallmark Channel it's on all the time. Also, each channel airs the same set of episodes twice a day. WE shows a two hour block from 5pm-7pm and 11pm-1am. Hallmark shows a three hour block from 9am-12pm and then again from 11pm-2am. So there's a two hour block at night where you can watch two golden girls episodes at the same time! :hearts:

Omg Scotso, I thought I was the only one who did that. That's why i was so happy to see The Golden Palace. I was like finally, episodes where I can't quote the show. .... Don't judge. ;)

My favorite is season 4. That was the height of the jokes without going overboard. I thought season 7 over did it. Blance was extra slutty and Rose was extra senile to the point where it was barely believable.

Season 3 was good too. In fact I forgot to mention earlier my all time favorite episode Mixed Blessings, the episode where Dorothy's son marries an older black woman.

McClanahan Hospitalised With Heart Trouble

Former Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan has cancelled an event in her honour next week after she was hospitalised suffering from a cardiac illness.

The 75-year-old actress, best-known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on the hit series, was scheduled to appear at Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan at San Francisco, California's Castro Theatre.

However, McClanahan has revealed she was recently hospitalised with heart trouble, and doctors have ordered her to remain in their care until her health improves.

The star did not elaborate on her condition, but assured fans she was in good spirits.

She writes in a statement: "My darlings, I'm just devastated that I am going to have to miss my own tribute at the Castro Theatre. Unfortunately, my doctor has laid down the law, and I'm currently having some maintenance on the old ticker. Trust me, I'd much rather be in San Francisco having fun and being adored by all of you."

'Golden Girl' Rue McClanahan recovering after bypass surgery

Rue McClanahan, 75, is “doing great” after a bypass surgery performed yesterday in New York, according to her rep, Barbara Lawrence. The Golden Girls actress first diagnosed with acute cardiac illness on Monday during a routine physical exam.

“He listened to her ticker and didn’t like what he heard,” Lawrence told EW. “But [the surgery] couldn’t have gone better. Everything went according to plan.”

McClanahan, remains in the hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery and begin shooting an undisclosed movie project in January.
