Michael Phelps Squeezes Out Another Victory At The Playboy Club
http://radaronline.com/exclusives//2phelps2_back.jpg
Radar Staff Writer Neel Shah spent the evening in Las Vegas (more on that later), and was kind enough to send along these fine photos of Olympic hero Michael Phelps "massively skeeving on girls at the Playboy Club" in that city's Palms Casino. Neel notes that the Olympian was accompanied by an entourage of striped-shirted schmucks, one of whose sole duties appeared to be pointing a flashlight at anyone attempting to photograph the swimmer during his efforts to obtain a gold medal in ass-grabbing. ("It was unreal," says Neel. "Within moments of entering the club he summoned two girls over... I've never seen such an aggressive grip.")

But don't be too quick to judge: Who among us, having just accomplished the greatest individual feat in Olympic history, wouldn't head straight to Vegas to score some tail? Hell, if it were me I'd still be wearing the goggles. Anyway, see how a true champion executes a classic butt-rub maneuver on a scantily-clad cocktail server below.

Not when he's touching her like that. Sure, look and whatever. But just don't touch. That's pretty pathetic when you've got a gf.

That's just plain stupidity  I think the Olympic champ can think about his behaviour a little bit more, he's a kind of example for many children. But that's not something illegal or banned, so he's free to do with his life whatever he wants.

to send along these fine photos of Olympic hero Michael Phelps "massively skeeving on girls at the Playboy Club" .....

I had to look that up, in urbandictionary.com ...there is no "Massively Skeeving" there. Ergo: there was no massive skeeving, on a stripper, in a Las Vegas club. However...."Skeeving": (125 up, 6 down...or something like that) '(verb) to gross out; to digust; to make your skin crawl, sometimes with undertones of sexual deviance/perversion'

Is in the eye of the beholder, or the reporter, in this case.

for said reporter: click on the image of the "hottie" with hand on hip, for a nice romantic song.
(I couldn't find an appropriate image with the google search term "swish," unfortunately.--)

I've been to a stripclub while I had a girlfriend. Nothing wrong with helping girls pay their way through University.

For a brief moment, I thought that you were actually being moderately respectful. I took note of this, because it's rare that you see anybody give a stripper any degree of respect.

Then I read the following:

True, but I didn't touch any of those disease-ridden dancing machines. :tape:

And realized that I had completely misread you

My bad.

To clarify, I don't think that a stripper is a profession which exactly demands our respect. Frankly, I find it rather gross. But if somebody wants to do it, for whatever reason, then all the power to them (power is probably the wrong word to use here, but whatever). I'm not sure that I see the need to imply that they are all "disease-ridden". And if you honestly think that, I'm confused as to why you have so little respect for yourself as to go watch the "disease-ridden" dry hump things. It's like you're sooooo much better than - yet, for some reason, you'll pay for it anyways. Ok.

Hee hee.

To be fair, the media owes it to the skeptics to prove that Phelps is, in fact, a human being. Until I see evidence of him going to the grocery store and buying toilet paper, I refuse to believe it.

It's Las Vegas right?

He's young, rich, and famous.

So, he's like Alex Rodriguez, Shaq O'Neal,
Derek Jeter, Tom Brady...he circulates in strip
clubs (expensive ones though). Shocking.

But, he should know better than to presume he is not
being filmed.

 The second part was completely meant as a joke, just reacting to the guy who said its pathetic to touch a stripper while you have a girlfriend. But thanks for reading way too much into it. ;)

Crazy Canuck

I didn't read "too much into" anything. I read exactly what was there, and took it at face value. No digging between the lines, there. Regardless, thanks for clarifying.

That's more of less what you wrote... it didn't take much reading into anything to come up with that. But, you were kidding. What I failed to do, was pick up on the joke. Sometimes, I'm slow. Apparently this was one of those times.

Has anybody scooped a photo of Phelps buying toilet paper yet? He's not human until we know that he wipes his ass.

Why does the point elude so many people? Michael Phelps has every right to avail himself of strippers, dancers, even prostitutes where it is legal. And he may even "deserve" it, as some have said: no quibbles from me.

Michael Phelps, however, is not only a man in search of purchased sexual amusement. He is a man who is now and will be enriching himself by selling his image for advertising, to the American public. That image is one of "role model", "All American Boy", "successful one", "healthy one", "one we can be proud of" and "son". The American public may not be so open to the embodiment of these attributes as a strip club customer. Being caught on film there tarnished his image, in the eyes of a sizeable portion of the public (NO, not everyone).

That doesn't mean he did anything wrong, or that you would or would not do the same thing. He is not you: he has millions on the table, and this hurts his image and his earning potential.
