Is it the injury? Pressure of being no1? What the hell is wrong? She seems insecure out there. No confidence at all.

I'm a fan of hers but she not one of my faves, and its really sad to see her like this. She really needs to come to the net more, she actually has some of the best volley skills of the top ten and shes confident up there.

Its strange Coin has a similar backhand to Cornet and a similar forehand to Mauresmo.

It all came too quickly for her. Winning a GS and getting the no. 1 position by default (especially since JH was so far ahead in points), I think was too much for Ana to take. She's not that experienced really, it's not like she's been on the tour for as long as say, Petrova or Dementieva, or Sharapova even.

I personally think it all came too soon and all at once and she can't handle it :awww:

Honestly I think it's the whole her being bumped up to #1 when Henin retired. She wasn't ready for it imo and it really does show. Not that she's a horrible player and doesn't deserve the #1 spot, but when it's simply given to you becuse the person on top retires is a little unsettling. Mix that in with the fact that she's been injured and hasn't played a proper tournament in over a month and this is why she is struggling so much. I hope she corrects it soon, though.

She wasn't "bumped" up to number when when Justine retired. That was Maria. Maria could have stayed number one had she defended her points but she didn't. Jelena could have also been number one but she was out played in the last three games of their match by Ana. Ana earned number one it wasn't handed to her.

Fight Ana.

It's odd, but the nr 1 needs her matches and practise sessions to keep her level up.
It's like getting out of a coma and trying to talk again.
Sometimes I think it's a complete mess in her head.

For sure she will get out of it, but it takes time.
What I do wonder is, what she learns from it every time it happens.

Ana lost to Pironkova, Paszek & Coin. For them the win is a real big one, but it's not that they played any better in that match than other matches.

Again I should look forward for the next tournament and just hope she gets it together. Just way too emotional.

It's definetly pressure of being No.1. I was never an Ana fan, in fact you may even say I hated her? But since Wimbledon shes just lost everything, no confidence what so ever. I even feel sorry for her! JJ should take over for a while =P
