Which young player will have the most success?Temperenka Aug 13th, 2008, 07:21 PM Which current young, top 25 player will have the most titles, highest ranking, and best career? Destiny Aug 13th, 2008, 07:29 PM Caroline Wozniacki:inlove:L Temperenka Aug 13th, 2008, 07:33 PM I say Victoria Azarenka. She has a big game that can really push top players, but unlike many other young players...she has superb mental abilities. Example was at Montreal, lost the first set to Safina 6-0, but came back and took the second 6-2(if I remember correctly). Then in the 3rd set, even as she was down breaks and then match point, she was still trying to pump herself up and stayed poisitive. If she can stay healthy, I think she can make the same kind of career push as Sharapova. TheFifthAvocado Aug 13th, 2008, 07:33 PM Vera Z. is not young, so I say Cornet Temporary0369 Aug 13th, 2008, 07:37 PM Vera Zvonareva is like 24. I wouldn't consider her to be a young up and comer. Kirilenko and peer are also getting up there. But, to answer your question... hmm come to think of it this is a toughie. All of these girls are good and having great seasons. I'd like to think that Szavay can somehow remember how to keep the ball in court and start to make some waves. Temperenka Aug 13th, 2008, 07:38 PM Vera Z. is not young, so I say Cornet Oh, shoot! sorry! I didn't check her age for some reason...the cut-off was 1987. crap! disregard her. :) Destiny Aug 13th, 2008, 07:44 PM Put Maria Kirnelko joćo. Aug 13th, 2008, 07:50 PM Caro Dodoboy. Aug 13th, 2008, 07:50 PM Alize Jachal Aug 13th, 2008, 07:53 PM I know it ain't polite to talk about a woman's age, but please... WTF is Vera doing up there??? Ok, I'll make it short: Vaidisova - when she gets her act together is still by far the one with the most potential. Azarenka - has got everything it takes to be a top player and I like the fact she's been doing a lot of doubles - she won't be a one-dimensional player in the future. A. Radwanska - she's incredibly mentally tough and got an amazing touch, but this may not be enough to win GS's Larcher de Brito - if the burn-out-syndrom doesn't knock to her doors, she may have a fun career. sweetpeas Aug 13th, 2008, 07:55 PM Safina? She 20! I like this young cute lady... Temperenka Aug 13th, 2008, 08:09 PM I only put players ranked between 10 and 25 and born 1987 to present. Just didn't realize how old Zvonavera was...oops. Amalgamate Aug 13th, 2008, 08:11 PM Vika :yeah: Well, I hope! frenchie Aug 13th, 2008, 08:15 PM Radwanska and Anna C debopero Aug 13th, 2008, 08:23 PM Wozniaki is 22? Protoss Aug 13th, 2008, 08:26 PM I say Victoria Azarenka. Azarenka has superb mental abilities? Huh? She seems kind of choke prone to me. Mightymirza Aug 13th, 2008, 08:27 PM same poll 1 year ago and vaidisova would be leading by miles!!!! Temperenka Aug 13th, 2008, 08:27 PM Wozniaki is 22? according to the wta site, yes, that is her current ranking. debopero Aug 13th, 2008, 08:29 PM according to the wta site, yes, that is her current ranking. Oh, I thought you meant their age. Wow... Mikey B Aug 13th, 2008, 08:34 PM radwanska and cornet.. i think alize is going to win RG one day.. she had an amazing clay season this year and isnt fazed by the french crowd, if anything i feel like she's pushed by it! so i really see a french open crown in her future... if aga can get a bit more power into her game i think she'll win slams... she can hang with the power players now, but i think she needs a little more to beat them. hingis version 2, a slam awaits! Optima Aug 13th, 2008, 08:41 PM Radwanska and Cornet. I'm not sure about Wozniacki and Azarenka yet, neither of them show up against top players. Serenita Aug 13th, 2008, 08:42 PM WHY is Vera in this list? anyway's Caroline Wozniacki karimcartoon Aug 14th, 2008, 12:23 AM Hopefully Dominika Cibulkova. She has the making of a superstar. sunsfuns Aug 14th, 2008, 12:31 AM Azarenka has superb mental abilities? Huh? She seems kind of choke prone to me. Yeah, I just wanted to write the same thing. All her "superb mental abilities" evaporate once she gets close to winning a tournament (0-4 in the finals losing to folks like Arn and Parmentier)... As for the poll - I hope it's Wozniacki, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's Cornet, Vaidisova or Azarenka. Others seem unlikely to me... Malva Aug 14th, 2008, 02:13 AM Oh, shoot! sorry! I didn't check her age for some reason...the cut-off was 1987. crap! disregard her. :) You shouldn't need to check Zvonareva's age to know that she can't be considered 'young'. Secondly, the list you offer us is very erratic with some telling omissions, unless you meant players outside of Top 10. Dor Y Aug 14th, 2008, 06:15 AM If Nicole will start improving she can have lot of successand.. And Victoria Azarenka too saint2 Aug 14th, 2008, 07:41 AM Vera Zvonareva- Young player?:lol::lol: In case of poll- noone babuska6 Aug 14th, 2008, 08:56 AM I vote for Vika, she has a big potential she showed it between juniors and now she is also a rising star in WTA Tour. But I hope that Dominika Cibulkova will be very successfull in the future, especially I“d like to see in Top 10 at least ;) Aryman3 Aug 14th, 2008, 09:39 AM Where are Radwanska sisters in this poll? Slutati Aug 14th, 2008, 09:40 AM Tatiana Golovin  Dinayer Aug 14th, 2008, 10:08 AM Alize SoClose Aug 14th, 2008, 10:10 AM Where is Aga?? :( SoClose Aug 14th, 2008, 10:11 AM I say Nicole powerbackhand Aug 14th, 2008, 10:31 AM I say Victoria Azarenka. If she can stay healthy, I think she can make the same kind of career push as Sharapova. vika barely ever pushes top players. I dont think she is mentally strong either Slutiana Aug 14th, 2008, 04:07 PM Umm.. Tatiana Golovin of course. :weirdo: Temperenka Aug 14th, 2008, 04:27 PM I only put on the players ranked between 11 and 25 and born after 1987(except Zvonareva). So, that is why the Radwanska sisters are not on here.. Vincey! Aug 14th, 2008, 04:47 PM Safina should be on the poll instead of Zvonareva who's not young AT ALL (for a tennis player :p) I voted for Caro :hearts: InsideOut. Aug 14th, 2008, 05:56 PM Oh, I thought you meant their age. Wow... So Bepa is 11 years old?! :spit: And Ana is only 2, wow come on baby :hearts::lol: King Of Tennis Aug 14th, 2008, 05:57 PM :D Cornet :D Dawson. Aug 14th, 2008, 06:01 PM probably radwanska (who for some reason is not on the lit, even though zvonareva is :tape:) & cornet. hopefully vaidisova though, if she can get it together kinseh Aug 14th, 2008, 06:06 PM Why isn't Radwanska in the poll? Out of those, I say Vika and Caro. Maybe Domi too. And of course Aga. :) | |
