How do you pronounce the Russian one that all the girls use? At Wimbledon I heard it from Vesnina, Dushevina, Rodina, Zvonareva etc.. Sounds a but like "geeshta" to me :lol:

'otlichno!' means 'excellent!'

'davai!' means 'come on!'

it's not "lichna", it's "otlichno" (except "o" sounds like "a" in the end of the word since it's an unstressed vowel).

"Lichna" isn't a word. "Otlichno" = excellent. I guess when the girls say it really fast, it sounds like "lichna". "Lichno" = personally.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I didn't read every post in the thread. :)

1) Dawaj = <davay>
2) Dajesz = <dayeash>
3) Jedziesz dalej = <yeajash duley>
4) Łoj tak! = <woy tuck>

ελάτε επάνω is in Greek, but I would say a better translation is έλα which sounds ela (with "a" as in apple and "e" as in envelope)

I thought "podme" it was pronounced poh-me, I didn't know Cibulkova/Hantuchova use a different word.
