They're never going to dominate again, for any stretch of time. Why is this so hard to accept?

And you feel Dementieva can win gold. We can all dream.
Who knows, one of our dreams might come true. My money is on me.

Love ya, :p

When I made that post I kind of expected to get a response to this.

I do think Dementieva's chance of winning the Olympic gold is better than Serena or Venus (especially her) every dominating again. It requires only one tournament victory in comparison to a long stretch of great form, big wins, and several big tournament victories. Serena did come close to it earlier this year, but then she underperformed on red clay, so that came to a halt.

You can dream, sure. It isn't even a far-fetched one. I'd like it to happen. I just don't think they're able to physically anymore. They've changed so much since 2003 Wimbledon, it's just been too long.

But what do I know.

They're just too inconsistent with injuries and form to dominate in this era of ball bashing eastern-european players. I do believe however that both will win a few more grandslams before calling it quits.
