It's not a tragedy. Radwańska won't appear there either.

Sorry, but since when does Jelena does NOT have injury. Every tournament she plays in, she seems to have something hurting.

these days she is losing because she is not taking injury time outs, since she was bumped to court 18 at wimbledon no more injury time outs...same with djoko

Oh Jankovic is fine. She shoouldn't be standing up for hours anyway and plus her makeup would have melted in this heat..

Moriah, how can you be talking about Jankovic when people are dying in Georgia? Geez, you have some messed up priorities. Shouldn't you be worried about the good people of Georgia? 1,400 civilians have died, so far. I guess talking about Jankovic is more important to you.:lol::lol:

typical deluge of mean comments from the Britney Spears fan club dullards in here.

Poor JJ was keen to join Ana and Nole for the opening ceremony.

Apparently this latest injury is a calf strain.

Ms Jankovic's participation in the tourney remains in doubt.

I can't believe this anymore :sobbing:

Agnieszka was there. I saw her walking with Marta.
I didn't see them at all. The only tennis players from Poland that were in the Stadium yesterday were Jans & Rosolska. All Polish athletes who were due to participate in any event on Saturday or Sunday were told to stay back in the Olympic Village.

as if a parade would kill her  Jankovic won't win much of a fan's heart until she stops being such a drama queen :o

i think the ceremony is the biggest part of the Olympics. even Lindsay and Tatiana walked into the stadium when they knew they will not play.
