Ana's participation in the Olympic Tennis Event remains in doubt due to a persistent thumb injury that has prevented her from practising fully. If the world No.1 recovers in time for the tournament, which begins on Sunday, she will face the Ukraine's Mariya Koryttseva in the first round.

I'm sure she will play, even if she still has trouble with her hand. Its a great privilege to be able to represent your country in the Olympics. So I assume she wont want to miss this rare opportunity, and give it her all. :)

If Serena/Venus would talk every five minutes about the fact that she doesn't know whether she will play I would say that she is dramaqueen

She herself has never said she might not play she has spoken about not being able to practice as much as she would like too but thats it. All of the talk about her maybe not participating is just speculation coming from the media etc :o

Noone will praise you if you try to play while being injured or not being fully fit  I would call it stupid.

And if you lose while being injured it wouldn't exactly be humiliating either.

I assume you're referring to Maria's loss at Wimbledon. It's irrelevant honey :secret:
Since Ana became number 1 she's suffered humiliation after humiliation. Ana loves being humiliated :hearts:

UMMM what  This has nothing to do with Maria, I don't even understand that at all  I was just going by what you said you hope she gets humiliated and I don't think she'd be that humiliated if she lost due to an injury. 2 bad losses since shes been #1 man Ana must want to kill herself. :sobbing:

there's no point in playing if she's still not fit:shrug:. Unless she tries to aggravate her injury then good luck :tape:

Ana Ivanovic is a question mark for the Olympics after experiencing pain in her injured thumb during practice in Beijing, reports her official website. "Unfortunately my thumb is still painful and I cannot practice. I am still having laser treatment on it, but itís very frustrating, not being able to prepare as I would like," she said.

"We hope it's just the tendon, but the fact that it hasn't responded to laser therapy suggests that it could be a bone fracture, although the last MRI didn't illustrate that," adds her agent.

Don't even bother. They've convinced themselves. :o

As for Ana, I really hope she can play. It would be awful without Maria, Lindsay and, especially, Ana. I know it's her dream to play, too.

BTW, I responded to you in Tati's Beijing thread. That's not what I meant at all. ;)
