Well, obviously John has a history of hating on the WTA but recently, i've begun to like his commentry. For example, in the mens' final he spent a lot of time comparing the tactics of Rafa and Roger with Venus and Serena. He also seems to stop bias from getting in the way of his commentry nowadays, not to mention the fact that he's as dumb as the Mary Carillos and Tracy Austins of this world. He even picked an All-Williams and Rafa-Roger final from the very start of the tournament. :worship:

Anyone else agree?

I really like Mac, but he's still very biased. Listening to him and Austin butcher the women's final last year on the BBC with their jingoistic flag waving was flat out embarrassing.

He must be making a pretty penny, flitting between the BBC and US Broadcasters @ Wimbledon.

That'd probably chill me out as well :)

It does seem that he's developing a little more as a commentator, though.

The network probably threatened his job if he didn't cut it out.

I wish someone would put a bloody bag over Pat Cash's head. Cannot stand that F_cker!!!

When Dementieve did her bullshit accusations, I saw Pat Cash agree that it 'was a legitimate question that needed to be asked because they avoided playing each other so much when they were younger'!!!

He is such a fucken tool and I wanted to ring the BBC and ask that they never hire him again. As an australian, Ive never hated a aussie sports star as much as I hate Pat Cash.

If anyone ever read his autobiography, dont bother! Never have I read more pathetic self-pity and someone blaming anyone and anything else for all the problems he has ever experienced besides himself.. It was his ex wives fault he got into drugs, the tours fault he had so many injuries, etc etc etc

:rolls: I've never heard Cash's commentary before, but based on his interviews that I've seen, I would probably agree with you  It was pretty funny last year when I watched a senior's tour match between him and McEnroe. They clearly aren't the best of friends-I guess the saying that 2 strong personalities will clash held true in this case.

About McEnroe, he does have his biases (for example towards Federer and formerly towards Henin), but his commentary is much better than it used to be, especially when he calls women's matches.

Having daughters definitely changed him. I like his WTA commentary, but cannot abide his ATP commentary--way too much ott homoerotic babble and not enough tennis.

Bringing up a daughter, or in Mac's case - multiple daughters ..

thankfully brings out the inner-feminist in us all ... eventually. :)

Yeah, Mac has said that having daughters changed his perspective.

He explained this during one of the Wimbledon rain breaks last year, he said that after having daughters he realised that he wanted them to have equal opportunity in life as everyone else and found a new respect for women's tennis.
