PROOF!
I dont care if some posters hate on Martina, that will never end. But I was somewhat surprised to read that she has chosen Ana Ivanovic to win Wimbledon this year (which is enough to warrant attacks of racism).. Just wanted to set the record straight with this clip... Watch the hatred displayed on Martina's face when she discusses who has the best shot at winning Wimbledon 2008...

I don't believe that, on Wimbledon Primetime, she said there wouldn't be a all Williams final, but she thinks one of them will win? I understand they both don't need to be in the final to win, but I doubt her believing this.

she completely contradicted herself. She says they will be hard to beat, but then during Wimbledon says she doesn't see a Williams final happening and picked JJ to beat Venus(i think).

Actually i was more on suicide watch at Federer losing :p but clearly the better players won their finals, so its ok. Venus was never in doubt to win.

Too bad your Tier 2 player didn't. By the way, do you even have favs, or do you come on this board just because of Venus?;)

Jelena got injured but it was not at all a bad pick to upset Venus, in fact that was my only hopes of Venus losing

Jelena was injured? She mentioned nothing about it in her post match interview. And, if you saw the match she was still moving like a gazelle. I'll be more than happy to post her post match interview if you'd like because she never said that an injury led to her loss. Tanasagarn just played one of the best matches of her career and simply blew Jelena off the court.

Dont be ridiculous, she injured her knee against Caroline Wozniacki? in the first set, and did not move well at all against Tamarine.

I do know that people can one thing in one interview and
then change their mind and say something else in another.

Nav also said:

"I'm glad I never had to play Venus," tennis legend Martina Navratilova once said. "She's just too long, too fast."

Come clean and admit that your only interest in womens tennis is to jump on the bandwagon of anyone you think can challenge Venus. Anyway you are in for the usual heart burn because it doesn't seem like Jankovic's body can withstand the rigors required to consistently challenge Venus.:D You will be on the losing end as usual.

Didnt Martina pick Ivanovic to win Wimbledon before the tournament??

http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?t=346489
Having said that, she is excited by the wide open field at the top of the women's game this year, with the outcome of Wimbledon anybody's guess. Ana Ivanovic, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Svetlana Kuznetsova are all, in her view, potential champions, lending the competition an unpredictability out of keeping with her own day when Navratilova and her friend and sparring partner Chris Evert were dominant.

I threaten to put a gun to her head unless she gives me one name for the Wimbledon plate. Ivanovic, she replies.

Jul 10th, 2008, 05:42 PM
She didn't predict the Wimbledon sisters. She said they would be hard to beat. That still falls in line with her Ivanovic prediction.

Oh gotta' love misleading threads.

:weirdo: She was moving fine against Tanasagarn. You obviously didn't watch the match. Like I said, she said the injury had nothing to do with her loss. Do you need proof? Also, Jelena said she was injured all throughout the Austrailian Open as well.

She is clearly filled with hatred for the sisterz.

Tamarine's only 9 winners, incluiding 2 in the first set were the ones that blew Jelena off the court .

BTW here the Jelena injury, which you have to be a ridiculous/delusional ass not to admit it and say she was not injured with a straight face

Jelena is overdramatic. Like I said, at the Austrailian Open she was saying she was injured as well. She is the new Kim Clijsters. Even if she were fully healthy she would not have won the match because Tanasagarn was playing very well. And only 9 winners? That's because JJ was still tracking down alot of shots which proves she wasn't as injured as she claimed to be. You didn't even watch the whole match. I did. She was moving fine and even if she wasn't at 100% she still should have been able to beat Tanasagarn.

First she was injured, she got her knee taped the day of the injury and had some tape as well the day of her match against Tanasugarn, then you claimed she WAS NOT INJURED because she did not attribute the injury to the loss, that was kind from Jelena and a very ridiculous assumption from you (first lie and disclosed by the video of the injury).

I watched the whole match, both of her matches against Caroline and Tamarine, and it was something to see how reduced Jelena's movement was that she was forced to take more risks than Tamarine, in face Jelena had WAY MORE WINNERS than Tamarine, who had supossedly blown Jelena off the court. (another lie from you disclosed by the stats).

Anyway have fun, you seem to believe your own BS despite the evidence.

Martina Navratilova is just a bitter sore loser and suddenly is changing her tune give me a break. I did see her in the stands when I watched Wimbledon last year and this year when Venus held the Venus Rosewater Dish in her hands!I laughed so hard when Venus IGNORED Martina and focused on praising Billie Jean King for HER SUPPORT! Martina was so upset because Venus doesn't give a damn about her but she lets her racket do the talking. Martina's grimace and the look of being upset was hilarious! Poor Martina didn't like the fact Venus CONTINUES to rack up the Wimbledon titles.

Morrissey you are just like Martina because you keep changing your tune. You talked trash about Venus and bashed her, but now that she has won 3 Wimbledon titles since 05 you're back to giving Venus props. Morrissey you're the last person that should be criticizing Martina.
