Huge match for both players. Would have been nice for both players to get to the quarters and as Corinna is one of my new faves so I'm kinda disappointed she lost. But this is a great win for Margalita, easily the most important of her career so far.

To put this in perspective, Palermo was the 22nd WTA tournament in Margalita's career that she entered the qualifying draw for. In her first 21 such tournaments Margalita did not make it to the main draw. So after 21 unsuccessful qualification attempts, Margalita has totally 100% made the very most her this her first successful attempt and gone all the way to the quarterfinals. Absolutely fabulous achievement and a great example that if you keep fighting and don't give up good things happen. :yeah:

Tournaments like this can on occassion completely transform a players career and it would be nice to see that happen here.
