damn, again I missed a lot of conversation here :( but I have read Maz's dad thinks russian is easy:eek: I heard from lots of ppl it's hard to study russian. I have 3 classmates at Uni who r abroad students and even living in Russia for almost 6 years they still can't speak it perfecrtly (well perfectly is a strong word, they can't speak it understandably). It's so hard to speak with them, sometimes we ask to change for english.

for person who knows language it always seems that lang was easy to learn. as I speak ukranian I sometimes has a bad habit to put ukranian words in conversation. my friends are angry with this and I angry with them cause it seems for me that Ukranian is so easy to understand. but it's not that easy esp for person who never never was intrested in ukranian.

PS: forgot to add- I'm off from hospital! I spent there about 1 month and now I'm so happy to feel ok again!!!!:bounce:

Guess what Tatiana......it's great to have you back, I've been doing roll call and we are still missing Annie Mac, hopefully she is okay :help:

No matter for moi.I have a little ranking, firefighters first :hearts: and police last only cos they have the ability to scare you.

If I can speak for her, I think she means is your monarchy more a tradition and hereditary, but having no real power in government (like the Queen of England-actual governing is done by the Prime Minister), or does your Queen (?) actually rule, much like a President?

ok now I get it. in our qountry it is more a tradition the prime minister decides everything the queen only reads what is said from a paper on a special day called prinjes dag. queens day is the day the our former queen juliana had her birthday then the whole royal family goes out in publac to celebrate the birthday of the queens mother. they go through a big city and do tipical dutch things like dancing and games. the also great the people standing beside the street hug them go on a picture with them talk to them that kind of thing.

I was just watching the tv and today our day is in honour for all people who died in wo II and after that in wars or peace missions. and tomorrow we have the day we celebrate being a free country. now is my question do you also have that in your country and when and how does work.

We have Remembrance Sunday where we have a 2 mintue silence for people who have died in the wars

Анна
May 4th, 2009, 07:04 PM
We have two closely related days. Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, is the day we remember all members of the armed services, whether or not they fought in a war. It had its start way back when women in the former Confederate States in the South would go out in late May to decorate soldiers' graves. Veterans' Day, November 11, started as Armistice Day, the day WWI ended. Since then, it has become the day to remember all veterans of wars.

We have 2 different days Mel, Anzac Day is 25th April (the day of the dawn landings at Gallipoli) and also Remembrance Day is 11 November (remembering the signing of the Armistice at the end of WW1), both days people normally have 1 minutes silence to remember the fallen and it is optional whether you want to attend a dawn service for Anzac Day.

I have a question; what are the SKF's favorite pizza toppings? Mine is mushrooms, capsicum (peppers?), onion, cheese, shredded carrot, sweet potato and tomato. Sometimes I also like to add feta and sundried tomatoes.

A few boneless, skinless chicken breasts, boiled and cut up into pieces
Brown or savoury rice of your choice (I like so-called "Spanish" rice)

Dash of curry

Bad Mood Stew

Ziggy Starduck
May 5th, 2009, 01:16 PM
what is gravy exactly

It's a brown liquid traditionally poured over meat (especially roast meat), there are a heap of recipes out there but here is one of them:

When you get the meat out of the roasting pan, try and get rid off as much of the fat that you can get. The fat sits on top and is clear. Keep as much of the juice as you can.

Put the roasting pan over a hot plate warmish and then mix up some cornflour and water, until the cornflour is dissolved. Stir it through the pan scraping all the crusty bits of the bottom of the pan. Keep going until it is nice and thick and unlumpy. If it is too thick stir in a bit more water, or add more cornflour but make sure it is dissolved in water first.

Or you can make it from a packet if you are pressed for time.

Hi Charlie, I love the Pirate movies too, Johnny Depp does some great acting, I like horrors also, they have taught me a lot about life, like - if you come home and your door is slightly open do not attempt to go inside, make sure you always fix that squeeky step, if your torch is not working no amount of banging it will help, if someone is wearing a mask and it's not halloween be afraid

If BF and GF mean what I think they do, I can totally understand not being here for TF tomorrow. Being the dumper or the dumpee just sucks. We'll just cheer double loud for you ;).

I walk like a man in heels which is so unfortunate as my legs look rather damn good in heels and a mini dress. Alas I went to my college leavers do and I wore ankle booties with a 5 inch heel and after 10 minutes of dancing I was in SHEER agony. 5 hours of painful dancing and sitting down - rinse and repeat many, many times, my mate made me RUN for the bus back at 3am!! :o

:haha: I love heels too except once a few years ago I made the mistake of wearing them while I was travelling overseas. Our flight to Kuala Lumpur from Australia was late and we had to catch another flight from there. When we arrived we happened to be so late that we actually had to run to the boarding gate. I had already worn the heels on the 8 hr flight there then I had to run in them:sobbing: and I was carrying my luggage too:help: anyways we somehow did mangage to get on that flight:lol: but I learnt not to be so stupid ever again:haha:

:bigwave: Hi guys!

Hey there Charlie. Thats a good way to spend your day. i watched all 3 pirate moives on Christmas Night the past year. Good fun :bounce:

Ah awesome, i always watch home alone movies on christmas day :p

 i never wear dresses too :p

Dresses doesn't like me and I dont like dresses

Hi Charlie, I love the Pirate movies too, Johnny Depp does some great acting, I like horrors also, they have taught me a lot about life, like - if you come home and your door is slightly open do not attempt to go inside, make sure you always fix that squeeky step, if your torch is not working no amount of banging it will help, if someone is wearing a mask and it's not halloween be afraid

Johnny Depp  thats why i watch the Pirate movies lol! :haha: Yes! see, theres always a purpose to any horror film to learn from them! But I never understand why most of the girls in the horrors always runaway half naked  I usually watch horrors always in the dark late at night... Best time to watch them i say, lol!

I don't like horror movies at all because they make me scared :help: I know that's the purpose of it,but I prefer to watch something else. Also I don't like war movies :tape: But I like all the rest, specially a good drama or a good comedy,or one that mixes both is even better

:) Don't worry Vero! I eventually got my best friend to watch "Nightmare On Elm Street" for the first time because at first she refused to watch but after watching it... She liked it! I can convert ppl into liking horrors  (I wish!) But comedies are great! I watched Norbit last night [after watching Chakky v Venus :(] and that film always makes me laugh!

I'm soooooooooo  about who to cheer for in the Sveta v JJ match today! One half of my brain is cheering for Sveta and the other half is cheering for JJ  I just hope they play great match for me to be proud of both of them :)

:rolls: Your not the only one :p I would prefer to wear a skirts than dresses with comfy shoes [that suits with each other] But I always ends up wearing heels :help:... But when the summer arrives... It's flip-flops everwhere I go!

I have had my best friend on the phone because her parents found out she is gay.

I'm a parent, myself. Even if I was straight, the news that my child was gay would only make me support and love them more. I really don't care, as long as they are good people and make smart choices. I don't understand parents who flip out, although I do understand fear that the child will have a harder time in life. Maybe that's where the anger comes from.

I'm glad your friend has you, Nat.

They have said to her they would never accept it. They are really religious and are against the whole thing. I was so worried she was on the phone to me crying and i could hear her mum and dad shouting. I kinda feel like i have to tell my mum now  I think she knows but it will actually having to tell her. But my friend isnt bothered she is happy with her GF so thats all that matters.

This is just very selfish behavior, they need to get a little bit of perspective here, would they rather a daughter who smokes cracks, sells herself or can’t stay out of the prison system etc etc

I guess it's easier not having to think for yourself and let your religious belief think and speak for you :tape:
