Venus Williams NOT losing a set is indicative of greatness and dominance at Wimbledon. It's pretty rare.

Here are the other times it's been accomplished on the women's side in the Open Era

1981- chris evert

1983- martina navratilova

1984 - martina navratilova

1986- martina navratilova

1990- martina navratilova

1999 - lindsay davenport

2008: VENUS WILLIAMS

WOW, Navratilova was able to do it FOUR TIMES!!!

ummmm....its a good feet, but not that rare.... Happens alot at other majors also if you include:

Maria AO 08
Henin US 07 FO 07 FO 06?
Serena US 02?
Venus US 01?

And those are just off the top of my head...

not really.. if you think oh Venus and Serena are the only one to do it in 2000...hrmm they've won the damn thing 6 of 8 times... Steffi did it and she dominated the major in the 90's... Nav did it and she dominated the major in the 80's.... relaly not that rare...

Well.. to give more props to Venus.. she also won the title in doubles without dropping a set. Don't think anyone other than lindsay did it in the last 10 yrs? 15 yrs?
