Mine is Zie Jheng's incredible run to the SF (by beating three seeds as a WC), the all-Williams final, and THAT netcord by Ana against Dechy.

It was awesome, that was one of the best matches in history at least where drama is concerned, but those first 2 sets were :help: :o If it was a best of 3 match, WTA final would have been better.

But anyway with respect to the last sentence, Subjectivity is key.

PS. Nadal's dramatic dip at the end  Could have given Leyomi Mizrahi a run for her money.

I was walking outside the entrance of the court and there are some seats, yeah. And this person was typing on their laptop. I wasn’t being nosey but when I looked over their shoulder they were making a post. I didn’t see the username, so this I can’t tell you and even if I did, it wouldn’t prove anything.
My best friend Lizzy came out looking for me and I told her. She asked me to point out who it was and I said , look, there, that’s the person. “OMG she said, do you know who that is?”. I had no idea, then she told me this person was a commentator on tennis.:bounce: About an hour later I came into contact with this person and I made a remark about these forums, they just laughed, but I could tell they understood what I meant.

No question : the men's final. It's historic.
And that's historic in terms of decades, not in years or even months as some myopic media tend to think.

You can say that again... I only managed to watch until the 1st rain delay as it was already 12.30am at night... if I had stayed up, I will only be asleep at 4am in the morning!

I saw the video of the winning point though... EVERYONE IN THE STANDS GAVE A STANDING OVATION FOR BOTH OF THEM!:eek::eek: And Nadal cheekily ran to the Spanish Royals and shake their hands....:lol:

1. Rafa v Nadal. One of the greatest of all time. I don't say the greatest, as I thought several of the Borg matches up there, also the Connors v McEnroe in 1982, and for the ladies, Chris Evert v Evonne Goolagong 1976.

2. Jie Zheng. Her run in general, and her semis second set against Serena in particular.

3. Jelena Jankovic injuring her knee. Three injuries in three GS this year for her. I hope she breaks the trend at the US Open.

4. Venus winning a fifth title, even though I did not think the final was that great because Serena mentally folded early in the 2nd set. I expected Serena to put up the fight that Nadal did, but it was not to be.

5. Shriekypova losing early.

Plenty actually!

In no particular order:
1) Dechy's shit luck.
2) Jie's stunning run.
3) Tammy's fabulous run.
4) Nadal's first Wimbledon.
5) Fed's loss! (0 for 3 this year, yay!)
6) Nalbandian's craptastic performance.
7) Safin's resurgence on GRASS?
8) Venus' FIFTH Wimbledon!
9) Shuettler's comeback!
10) Elena's semifinal run on GRASS!(Next up, Australian Open!)
11) Maria's shock defeat!

the mens final - the best match of all time!
on the womens side i would say Laura Robson winning the girls title

I was wondering why no one had said that...

for me, it is Laura Robson's run to the girls singles championship title, as a 14 year old beating the 1st and 3rd seeds en-route
also, the very fact that Vee has won the same amount of Wimbledons as Fed is pretty special
Bally's emotional victory over Kerber was a great match also, very enjoyable
The first set of Vee vs. Cavaday was very entertaining...a brit woman going toe-to-toe with the greatest grass court player of this generation!

-I realised that I like Venus and Serena equally, before I liked Serena more
-Becoming a fan of Jie
-Venus defending her title
-My first Williams final
-All the players I don't like (Sharapova, Djokovic, etc) and people who the media and commentators assumed would win (Ivanovic, Jankovic, etc) getting knocked out early. Shocks are way more exciting than the usual predictable matches

I can't choose! This if my favourite Wimbledon ever.

I also have a great fondness for the Stepanek v Youzhny match. So funny to see Youznhy saluting the crowd after his epic 5 set win, while Stepanek was simultaneously smashing all his rackets
My first time watching a match on the centre court.

For the women:- Jie Zheng and Laura Robson. Robson could be a big player - she's lucky the british tabloids don't care about tennis for 50 weeks a year.

I know, that's exactly how I feel. He's so damn respectful of everyone that I'm inclined to liking him, even though I was rooting for Fed that whole match. Still sucks that he wasn't able to break that 6 in-a-row record. After the 3rd and 4th sets won, I was sure the title was his. But I guess... it just wasn't meant to be.
