So much happened! I am really happy with this win. It was tough but I played a good match. I didn't also used a lot of chances and I must tell that Laura really didn't play that bad. I have never played such a tie-break in my life. The first mini-break was at 8-8! Luckily, I managed to win a first set and I don't hide that I had a luck at tie-break. I got to "free" points because of double faults of my opponent. The second set was not mine and in the first game of 3rd set I had three break points! At 5-2 I had two match balls and I was incredibly stressed. Luckily I managed to win while I was serving at 5-3. Just after the match I couldn't believe it. But it just happened. Tomorrow I play also with left-handed player - Channel Simmonds from RSA. I am optimistic and I will try to do my best. Keeps your fingers crossed! Found an article about her match against Robson, I think it's worth posting: ----- The 15-year-old lost to Sandra Zaniewska of Poland 7-6, 1-6, 6-3 after one hour and 54 minutes of highly competitive tennis at Roland Garros. At two years her senior, Zaniewska had much greater strength from the back of the court than Robson but the Briton fought valiantly only to come up short in a tense final set. Murray, who faced Fernando Gonzalez on Court Philippe Chatrier this afternoon, has honed his game on the slower surface after spending time at a clay-court training camp in Barcelona as a teenager and that is a route Robson intends to follow. The top seed said: I hate losing so it's never easier or worse than anywhere else. Andy struggled on clay when he was younger and now he is in the quarters. So I am going to try and do the same as him and keep improving. She [Zaniewska] hit a lot of drop shots and that's how she won a lot of points. That was her tactic the whole match and it worked. I ran a lot and now I am pretty tired. I tried my best and at times I could have served better and done a couple of things better but at the end of the day I tried my best so there wasn't much more I could do. Once you get the ball it's hard to know where to hit it because if you hit it short, she is going to read it so you have to think about where you are going to hit it as you are running and hitting the ball. By the final set I was extremely tired of running. Robson battled back from a break down in the opening set to force a tie-break. Zaniewska had the first set point on serve at 8-7 but Robson produced a superb return and forehand winner to draw level. She then earned a mini-break to force a set point of her own only to serve a double fault. Zaniewska eventually took the breaker 12-10 but Robson raced through the second set in just 27 minutes to level the match. But Zaniewska's superior stamina eventually won through and Robson, who will now focus on taking two English GCSE's, admitted: She is definitely more physically developed but I don't think age matters unless they are a whole lot more experienced. She was a lot stronger. Robson must now wait until next Monday to find out if she has done enough to earn a main draw wildcard into the Wimbledon women's singles from the All England Club. Krzysiu. She's pretty much a shoe in now. Got to the final in Bundaberg beating Namigata 2 & 1 and will face another Japanese Aoyama in the final. Im afraid its another Linette-case though. TeamUla Mar 31st, 2012, 08:16 AM Linette seems she changed her coach and something changed in her life (well Kasia Piter's brother is travelling with her for the tournaments now :tape:). About Linette it's most about the confidence. Zania is training in Turkey in the same academy as Gajdosova. She's totally a different case. Dexter Apr 1st, 2012, 07:45 AM Sandra bagged her 2nd title in Australia. 63 62 in the final. 3 titles within a fortnight, has it ever happened in Polish tennis? Tomek. :) Another tough and good match. Didn't make it, unfortunately, but put up a good fight and I was really close. Overall, as for my first Slam, Im pretty happy with the result :) tomorrow I'm going back home (I withdrew from next two tournaments - Maribor and Zlin 25,000$) due to back injury I got during league matches in Berlin. Later tomorrow I'll check whether it's something serious. Thanks for your support ! :) TeamUla May 26th, 2012, 07:13 AM Sandra  She's so prone to injuries... That's why she hasn't made any progress for two-three years. Hopefully it's nothing serious. TeamUla May 26th, 2012, 10:03 AM I read article in eurosport.pl and they were comparing Zaniewska to Mauresmo there. :sobbing: I could even agree... TeamUla May 26th, 2012, 09:18 PM Zania anounced on facebook that her next tournaments will be Birmingham quallies. TeamUla Jun 8th, 2012, 05:32 PM Sandra in WTA Birmingham quallies :cheer: (it's her 2nd grass tournament this year. First one was in 25k Mildura, Australia) (1)ZHENG, Jie CHN vs GRANDIN, Natalie RSA (12) ZANIEWSKA, Sandra POL vs KOPS-JONES, Raquel USA First one is winnable. Kops-Jones is unranked doubles specialist. Jorn Jun 8th, 2012, 08:10 PM Does she still have her new coach Tina Pisnik? Note: I will delete the pic tomorrow ;) Jorn Jun 9th, 2012, 01:04 PM Has Sandra played and the sb don't works? TeamUla Jun 9th, 2012, 01:07 PM Sandra until she found Tina didn't have any coach who could actually travel with her (she trains in Turkish Academy in Istanbul as well - the same as Jarka Gajdosova). In Poland she has also one coach but he works with other players as well so he can't travel with her. That said, I think she will cooperate with Tina for a longer time as she needs someone who will introduce WTA world to her and Tina is the best person to do that as she was herself top30 player. Jorn Jun 9th, 2012, 01:17 PM Seems like they wait for C3 to be ready, match now on the sb... Jorn Jun 9th, 2012, 03:27 PM Sandra wins 61 46 61. :) TeamUla Jun 9th, 2012, 03:31 PM Jie Zheng next. Jerem Jun 20th, 2012, 04:26 PM She's really impressive this year, and so solid mentally. Second time she plays in GS qualies, second time she's in the final round and on very different surfaces :yeah: In the same time, Janowicz has qualified for the main draw. Good day for the Poles :) Dexter Jun 20th, 2012, 04:30 PM Yeah, hopefully she will follow in his foot steps tomorrow. :) Jorn Jun 21st, 2012, 04:30 PM Some mps wasted, BUT she dit it!! :) jomamoto Jun 21st, 2012, 04:31 PM Sesil being passed 63 46 64. Will see tomorrow who she's going to get in the MD. 100 pts would do wonders to her ranking... hopefully the draw will be kind for her. Sztorm Jun 22nd, 2012, 06:41 AM Nice to see like Sandra is growing in strength. forever_rafter Jun 22nd, 2012, 10:11 AM Gram z laskami z SKT, twierdza ze to lezba :o ale podobno bardzo przyjazna :) No nareszcie, Bogu dzieki :) TeamUla Jun 22nd, 2012, 10:12 AM hę? Jerem Jun 22nd, 2012, 10:28 AM Peng for Sandra... Not an easy first round, but Peng hasn't had great result so far this year. Cinek Jun 22nd, 2012, 06:58 PM Good luck Sandra! :) Jerem Jun 25th, 2012, 03:51 PM Sandra has just won the second set against Peng, 7-6(3) ! Sandra is going to serve first in the final set. Jerem Jun 25th, 2012, 04:46 PM Finally she lost the match, 2-6 7-6(3) 3-6. There was a medical time out at 3-2 (I think), but I don't know if it was for Shuai or for Sandra. Great fight though, I didn't expect that :yeah: The last game of the match, on Sandra's serve, was quite long with some MP saved by Sandra as well as some game points wasted. Sandra really impresses me more and more, she seems to be so solid... If she keeps this form, she can reach the top 100 soon :) Vamos Feńa Jun 26th, 2012, 07:43 AM Impressive from her :) I hope she won't have to play US Qualies and that she will somehow keep up her form :yeah: - Brakło mi doświadczenia na pewno. Spotkanie trwało dwie godziny i osiem minut. Pod koniec lipca przejdę już na twarde korty i będę się przygotowywać do eliminacji US Open dawid Jul 21st, 2012, 04:42 PM What's her next tournament? dawid Jul 21st, 2012, 04:57 PM NVM it's Baku Jorn Jul 23rd, 2012, 07:43 PM Good Luck Sandra in Baku! :) Jorn Jul 23rd, 2012, 07:45 PM Court 3 (from 10.00hrs) 1. TeamUla Aug 30th, 2012, 05:34 PM After Baku she played just two tournaments - Vancouver challenger where she retired. 1st round of US Open quallies was not successful. Now in September she's nowhere to be found on entry lists. Hopefully her injury is not too serious... Jerem Sep 21st, 2012, 10:00 AM Sandra will be finally back on courts next week, in Clermont-Ferrand (25k) :) TeamUla Sep 25th, 2012, 11:38 AM She lost her opener. :( She can't win a match now! Jerem Sep 29th, 2012, 01:13 PM Dear Fans, please forgive me my long absence in tennis and Facebook.. This week I have played my first tournament, since I lost in US Open qualies. In the second game of my match in NY, I sprained my sacroiliac (SI) joint. Because of that, I was forced to get some rest and after two weeks I started rehab. Tournament in Clermont-Ferrand (ITF 25,000$) was meant to be a test for my joint, I still wasn't able to serve fully, but it went quite well overall. For the rest of this week, I'm doing rehab and from Monday on I'm back on court and I will continue my practices, my next tournament will be 08.10 ITF 50,000$ in Joue les Tours, France.
