Tamira is 9th Seed and has a bye in the first round, because Safina pulled out of the tournament.

Her quarter of the Draw
Tamira Paszek (AUT/9) vs. Bye
Monica Niculescu (ROM) vs. Tamarine Tanasugarn (THA)
Bethanie Mattek (USA vs. Qualifier
Aravane Rezai (FRA/13) vs. Qualifier
Ekaterina Makarova (RUS/15) vs. Elena Baltacha (GBR/WC)
Angelique Kerber (GER) vs. Olga Poutchkova (RUS)
Nathalie Dechy (FRA) vs. Severine Bremond (FRA)
Nicole Vaidisova (CZE/2) vs. Bye

Considering that Nicole is in a slump at the moment Tamira would be theoretically the strongest player in that half (ranking-wise) :p

But Niculescu is a promising young player and Tanasugarn plays always very good on Grass :scared:

Let´s hope the best - Gemma Tamira :rocker2:

Well, she played very well at Birmingham last year, and had a chance to take out Sharapova, so hopefully if Passos is with her this week he can give her something to build on and work with. I'd just like to see her win a couple matches back to back for her confidence.

A single win maybe give Mimi her confidence back :awww:

Well that sucked.

What the hell is going on with her? What was the last month she actually held serve? Does anyone remember?

This is more than "fitness". It's like she isn't even trying.

With these results Tamira won´t have an own forum for a longer period ... :banghead:

This is just pathetic :help:

If she will lose in R1 in Wimbledon she should better take a break and work on her game

She should play Tier III and Tier IV Tournaments now, even ITF´s to get some confidence back :o Playing only Tier Is and Grand Slams won´t help with getting bagel after bagel :o
