I have some feeling that croat could get WC for qualies. After this week of great results Sprem and Martic are going to be really close to make the cut.
But if they don't I think one could get WC. Martic because of IMG, Sprem because she was NO17 and is coming back after injury and playing really good. Gl to Croats!

And I doubt Martic will get a QWC, USTA runs this event, not IMG, and with American tennis in its current state, I doubt the Americans will be giving ANY wildcards to anyone except 1 French, 1 Australian and a QWC to Kucova

It's next week. Pilot Pen entry list was announced yesterday which is the week before USO.

I'm guessing that the cut-off will also be a week after New Haven's.

The USTA put out a press release about the entries for the men's field (everyone in the top 103, plus Dominik Hrbaty with his protected ranking) earlier today, so we'll get the women's announcement at some point on Thursday. It's the same thing they do with the wild cards: announce the genders separately so they can get two days of headlines.

Entry list: TOP 105 this week Enter Directly.

Only Morigami will not play.

So no with SR will Enter MD.

Way too far out to have any chance of playing; there are ~100 alt.s in front of her! Slams aren't like challengers, where dozens of players routinely withdraw. Players ranked in the 400s never get into Slam qualies unless they somehow manage to snag a QWC.

But we can still hope she'll get that QWC. :angel:

Way too far out to have any chance of playing; there are ~100 alt.s in front of her! Slams aren't like challengers, where dozens of players routinely withdraw. Players ranked in the 400s never get into Slam qualies unless they somehow manage to snag a QWC.

But we can still hope she'll get that QWC. :angel:

Michelle was already safely within the cutoff mark when the original list came out. It should help with her seeding, which depends on where everybody's ranked on Monday (August 18th).

While I'm here, I'd like to thank tobi and TBE for keeping the lists so dilligently updated. I'm planning on attending the first couple days of qualifying (if neither gets rained out) and it's nice to know who I can count on seeing. I only wish I had such up-to-date info about the men's qualies.

Oh, and I guess I'll also thank CrossCourt~Rally for keeping alive a pic I took of Lilia Osterloh at the Open eight years ago! Brings back memories of a particularly sweltering day out on the Grandstand.
