Do they cover the courts in Paris if it rains? They didn't in Rome and the clay turned to goo. They wouldn't have to wait for the clay to dry if they just covered it!

the last year or some years ago they covered all tv courts, other courts were not covered I think.

I've never seen Paris get the kind of rain they had in Rome.
Once is stops raining, they can resume play immediately.
They water the courts between matches anyway.

Either they don't cover the courts at all, or they cover the TV courts. That seems to be the concensus. It's not like at Wimbledon, thankfully.

In Paris, all the courts are covered when it's raining... From the Central court to the N°17.

Andreas
May 25th, 2008, 06:49 AM
At the forecast I'm looking at, it says no rain at all today, but I just checked another, and that says a lot of rain, so I hope the first one is right :D

We should get some Monday and Tuesday though, but nothing Wednesday and Thusday :)

The weather will be awful for the whole first week. It should be even worse than last year. Rain for sure from today till Wednesday (souce : yahoo weather + météo France).
