She's still young and emotional she was upset, she just didn't know what to do and she really wanted to defend her title. She didn't actually cry though.

Didn't someone say Jelena cried after her loss to Vera in Charleston?

Must be a Serbian thing? ;)

Ivanovic is my least favorite player, but I'm here to defend her. So what if she cried between sets? For one thing, females' tear ducts are different from males' and are more likely to produce tears. And in some women, they are especially likely to produce tears. And--oh yes--she was feeling pretty sad.

It just shows how emotional she really is and how serious she takes her tennis.I love when people show their emotions because that shows they are just humans like everybody else and not robots,it`s so sincere.
That is one of the reason why I like Ana so much, she`s just so genuine

It's OK... she's not exactly a battle-hardened veteran yet... To me it's better when players cry than to just look detached and given up

Big Girls DO cry

An angry, frustrated, pissed-off young woman - if Ana wants to let it out so what?

Well imagine if it was her playing in the semis of RG 2003. :help:

I don't mind her crying. I do like when players show their emotions (like Martina Hingis did). It's better to show it out instead of keeping it inside.

It is okay to cry, even more so when you are concentrating it is difficult to control other emotions. What is more important Ana is never rude regardless how upset she might be; this is how many other players express their anger that the game is not going their way.

I notice big disappointment on her face, but she for sure not cry in that moment and she talking very interactive with her coach what to do in next game when Elena served for match. Ana than played solid game (even lead *15-30) but still lose. Her handshake is correct and nice after all... so she is very disappoined and sad - but i realy dont notice any tears or some other extremly emotional reaction or behavior.

BTW how nobody here not notice that ANA IVANOVIC corrected linesman bad-call at Lena's BP when Ana is 2nd time broken in 2nd set. Ana want success here for sure, but not so desperatly like some posters insinuate in this thread.

 ugh, i can't believe women think they deserve equal rights when they say stuff like this

using tears to manipulate people, crying and acting helpless when it's convenient for them  ugh, feminism just isn't what it used to be.
