I think whoever wins is gonna lose to Dementieva. Except if it's a 6-0 set for one of them ...

Both are nearly unstoppable after winning the first set, particularly Ana.

I'd say Szavay, but I'd rather Ana wins. I"m still afraid of Szavay, as always. I'm afraid of Ana too, especially on clay, but apparently she hasn't been very good this week.

I can't beleive this shitty orginise by the Germans. Let there be lights or start earlier, or put a match to the other court. No way that this match's winner(Agi of course) would make the final. TIER I? LOL

What? If anything darkness helped Agnes, Ana had the momentum after fighting back in the second.

I agree it may be the case, but at least they could be smarter and start the games earlier. If they don't want to use lights there is no reason to start at noon. Why not 11:00 AM or even 10:00 AM? Their website sucks, too. I am really disappointed with their organization.

True, this is an advantage for Agnes. Ana will most likely come out tomorrow and have another slow start. :o

This is women's tennis. Most players have their momentum, and then in the next minute they're lost. Ana had the last 3-4 games but this doesn't mean Agi couldn't have changed that.

What we actually do know it that this almost destroys the winner's change to get through the semi. So I can't see the advantage for any of them.

Ana is so lucky here because this could have been another addition to the upsets of the whole week.

It still could be but i doubt it.

I`m sure Ana will be ready for the third set tomorrow,I just hope they will finish soon so Ana can play semis too,no worries ;)

I think Ana will get her act together and win the third set. She was playing her best tennis of the tournament at the very end, and, if she can continue with that level of play, she should be fine.

It wasn't even dark.

I hope Ana will win, then defeat Dementieva and then defeat Azarenka in the final. But one match of the time :)

You seem nice so I won't be too harsh on you:angel: But when a player has loss 4 games in row to lose the 2nd set and the match is suspended for whatever reason. The break is usually good news for the player that has lost 4 games in a row not the other way around.:)

Beepee
May 9th, 2008, 08:47 PM
Agi lost 3 game in a row not 4

Sean.
May 9th, 2008, 09:02 PM
I have to agree that the stop of play helped Szavay, Ana was on a role (Agi did not choke). And could possibly have steamrollered her in the 3rd set.

Having said that i think it could go either way, Agi was playing VERY well and Ana wasn't. I think it will be down to who starts the best, might all be down to a few points early on.

I don't want to call it and then Jynx it! If it's Ana though she will have to raise her game against Elena.

SOA_MC
May 9th, 2008, 09:04 PM
Agi lost 3 game in a row not 4

My mistake:o But still after a mini collapse and Ana raising her game to lose the 2nd set. The match being suspended is an advantage for Szavay not Ana

suspended due to darkness?:weirdo::weirdo::weirdo::weirdo::weirdo:

I mean but are they serious?:tape:

Anyways, despite this awful organization I hope Ana can refocus and win the third.

About Ana being on a roll, yeah that's true she could have kept that form but she could also have had one of her up and downs... So we don't really know. The player who wins tomorrow (?) will have deserved that anyways.

You're welcome. I'm just telling my opinion. ;)

Btw, when Agi was leading 6:3 3:1, winning the last 3 straight games and having 40:15 lead to 4:1, Ana seemed loosing the match. If the match had been suspended then, you could have said that the break was good for Ana. But was it really? ;)

I think Ana was lucky this match is tomorrow cuz today seemed to be upset day w/ all 3 of the higher seeds losing: Bondarenko, Serena, Jelena. Ana would have made it clean sweep for the lower ranked players. I think she'll regroup tomorrow and pull through 64.

StephenUK
May 9th, 2008, 10:14 PM
What is wrong with these top seeds? Justine, Sveta, JJ and Serena have all flopped and Ana is also making heavy weather of this tournament as she has struggled in every match so far. It's like they are all in some kamikaze mission self-destruct to make sure that none of them wins Roland Garros. Has the red clay season come too soon, are they all jaded or is it a sign that there will be a changing of the guard in women's tennis?
