Yes - but if only that was all. I think her problems are a lot worse than just that. She also had silly errors when all she had to do was put the ball away. I can't believe how she's become like this from what she used to be.

I don't like Vaidisova's game. But she isn't always that bad. When the ball lands in more than it lands out, as sometimes it does, she is obviously quite dangerous. She did hit some great shots even today. But for every great shot there was at least a couple almost comic errors. There was a lob attempt in the first set which was so inept one could only shake ones head in awe. I do wonder if she ever actually thinks even a little about what she is trying to do when she is on the court.

Actually the most telling thing about the match was that she didn't even bring her coach in to speak to her after the 2nd set. Or maybe Felgate just realised that nothing he said would make a difference. :shrug:

Basic Rule in tennis, if your opponent is missing everything she hits, she has the problem, you just try to aggravate that feeling by putting the ball back... that is what Gisela needed to do today and she succeded. She wasnt even required to play her best!!!

I personally believe Nicole is an amazing tennis player but I also admire Gisela's opportunities on that surface.

Nicole was much the same as she was in her previous losses, according to what I read about the latter. Plays really bad for a while, and then just stops playing at all. Lethargic, can't be arsed to rally or even to move.

I wish her all the best in whatever she's going to do now that she's given up on a career as a tennis pro.
