You read it here first ;)
3x25k's starting on Monday...
Time to lift that bloody depressing ranking back up!!
Apr 19th, 2008, 11:57 AM
is she seeded?
Apr 19th, 2008, 12:00 PM
Good luck to her, all three have some very tough lineups!!! Way tougher than the Aussie 25ks or any in Africa :o
Apr 19th, 2008, 12:02 PM
Bout time! I haven't heard from her since AO!!!!
Apr 19th, 2008, 01:33 PM
woooooooooooooooooooooo ! ! ! ! !
Second seed for the first one. That line up doesnt really look to tough except Su-Wei Hsieh.
Apr 19th, 2008, 01:57 PM
Hopefully she can bring her A-Game to the table and start pushing up the ranks again
Apr 19th, 2008, 02:23 PM
will she bother with any clay or french open?
Apr 20th, 2008, 12:29 AM
Well I think she's on the quallies list, so we may just have to wait and see
Apr 20th, 2008, 02:33 AM

Apr 21st, 2008, 11:18 AM
Jarka plays Jin-A Lee (WTA #367) in the first round of the 25k in Incheon. Lee is a Korean native, and by looking at her activity, Jarka will have her work cut out for her. If she won this, she really should not have too many problems making the quarters, there are 2 qualifiers up in R2. We shall leave it at that and hope she can get that far
Apr 22nd, 2008, 08:24 AM
Good luck Jarka, hopefully she can get through that 1st round match!
Apr 22nd, 2008, 08:37 AM
Apr 23rd, 2008, 10:07 AM

Gajdosova (2) lt. Lee 4-6 7-5 2-6...
Goodbye Top 200 soon :wavey:
Apr 23rd, 2008, 10:19 AM
jarka :o terrible loss, she needs to stop hitting every single ball hard & adjust her game. wonderful player just needs to harness her game.
well at least she lost to a player who was born in the same country as me.

Apr 23rd, 2008, 12:48 PM
Oh Dear. This is not a great result at all. Boy friend Sam also lost in the first round of 15k in China as the second seed in the first round as well!
Apr 25th, 2008, 04:28 AM
Why is everything going wrong for her? I swear there is an Aussie curse to make everything so much harder for all our players. Dellacqua and Moore should make sure they stretch and do everything they can to prevent injury and bad luck coz i have a feeling they're next on the list for unlucky disasters to Aussies!
Apr 25th, 2008, 05:55 AM
If you jinx them :fiery:
Gajdosova is into the semis of the doubles with Chan, the top seeds bagged two straight sets wins...hopefully this gives her a confidence boost and she can get going again in singles over the next few weeks...
I'd like to see if her fitness has improved since AO
Apr 26th, 2008, 02:09 PM
Gajdosova and Chan won the final in three sets. A start at least.
Apr 26th, 2008, 09:50 PM

May 2nd, 2008, 01:53 PM
All she needs is to get her head right!!! she can play but is very weak minded. lets hope this starts the wheels turning for her again. for her to get back up there it needs to be a slow and steady race.
May 3rd, 2008, 12:58 AM
Nice work Jarka! Good Luck in the semis!
May 3rd, 2008, 03:38 AM
She will have to be switched on today...Ye Ra Lee is a very gutsy player....doesnt give in and gets a lot of balls back....Hopefully Jarka fires up and can wipe her off the court!!
Also into the doubles final!!
May 3rd, 2008, 04:02 AM
grea tournament for Jarka, hope she can win it!!

What a great past few weeks for Aussie womens tennis!
Gajdosova winning a $25K, Wheeler winning a $10K and Dokic, Stosur and Molik all back in action, somewhat successfully. It's not alot but its definately a great start, and we'll just keep Dani Dominikovic's double bagel on the hush hush shall we? :tape:
May 5th, 2008, 12:24 AM
She's playing her third and final 25k in Changwon this week in South Korea before heading over to Europe for French Open qualifying
GOOD LUCK

ARTICLE FROM THE AGE NEWSPAPER ON FRIDAY 2ND MAY, 2008
THE much-trumpeted adoption of European tennis pair Jarmila Gadjosova and Anastasia Rodionova on the eve of this year's Australian Open has proved, rather embarrassingly, to be temporary, with both players back representing their countries of birth.
Tennis Australia is planning another appeal to the International Tennis Federation and negotiating with the Federal Government on their behalf but, in the meantime, 71st-ranked Rodionova is listed as Russian and 174th-ranked Gadjosova — an Australian Institute of Sport full scholarship holder — still officially a Slovak.
Both are Australian permanent residents, but neither has satisfied the criteria for citizenship under tough new immigration rules introduced last July.
Permission from the ITF to permit Gadjosova — an Open wildcard recipient — and Rodionova to play under the Australian flag at Melbourne Park was received by tournament director Craig Tiley only hours before the main draw. Tiley said he thought the change would be permanent.
But at Rodionova's next event, in Thailand, the (AUS) after her name was ditched for (RUS) and her request to have it reinstated denied on the basis that the WTA Tour follows ITF rules on nationality, and Rodionova did not satisfy them. So bizarre has the situation become that at last month's WTA event in Amelia Island, Rodionova was classified as Australian for qualifying, but became Russian in the main draw.
Rodionova's Australian partner, Lorne Padman, said Rodionova was concerned that Australians would feel duped by events over which she had no control. "It looks like Anastasia is switching and changing because she swore her allegiance to Australia at the Australian Open and now she's back playing for Russia, but our hands are tied," Padman said.
Tiley said the change was made for the Australian Open, "as the grand slams are not bound by the requirements placed on the tours".
"Tennis Australia has long accepted both girls are genuine in their motives to become Australians," he said. "Both girls have long ago established home and family lives here (Anastasia lives in Melbourne and Jarmila in Sydney). In fact, we and they already consider themselves proud Australians and that is why they are frustrated that they cannot be recognised as such as they compete around the world."

thats annoying... must be extremely frustrating for them... hoepfully soon:)

Good luck :)
May 6th, 2008, 06:50 AM
Notice how a lot of Jarka's Slovakian ''fans'' have disappeared...that's disappointing
